Chapter 5 - Monster Seed Bloom

Depending on the Tier of the Symbiote, the potential, the summoner can learn a certain number of Star-technique.

A 1-star talent symbiote could increase one's primal energy expand the Monster space enough to learn one Star technique.

A 2-stars talent symbiote could learn two Star techniques. 4-stars could learn four while 5-stars talent could learn 5.

It's unfair but in this world, potential is everything.

Tyrion, a 3-star talent summoned a beast with 1-star potential. Naturally, he could only learn a single Star-technique.

And he didn't choose the Cosmic Barrier as his first and single technique.

The Ghost-Feather Hidden Needle Star-technique was harder than Tyrion thought.

The manual made the technique sounded simple; Using mental energy, control the Spark within the Monster Space, and forge it into the shape of a feather-needle rune.

When the spark is now in the shape of a Ghost-Feather rune, you could then guide its energy to your finger tips, into the feather-needle hidden weapon and then release it to produce an astonishing explosive burst.

It took Tyrion all day just forge 10 percent of his spark into a barely visible feather-needle.

The Spark inside him had just been lit up due to the summoning ceremony.

Every time he tried to forge it using his mental energy, the energy either dissipated before it forms or forms a wrong shape, giving him a headache.

By early afternoon he had managed to roughly create the shadow of the needle. However, it lasted only 2 seconds before it flickered and formed back into a spark.

He tried again and again until he was able to create a stable needle within him that held for up to a minute before his mental energy was exhausted.

Tyrion slumped to his bed, sweating dripping off his forehead as he panted heavily.

The Ghost-Feather Hidden Needle Star-technique was really difficult to use.

Thankfully, as long as he didn't let it out and let it dissipate into primal energy inside of him, not much energy was being used.

He closed his eyes and rest as he recovered his strength.

In this world, everyone is born with a Monster Seed which reaches maturity at 16.

At this age, they are expected to participate in the Summoning Ceremony to summon their first Symbiote connecting their inner world to the Primal world.

As the man and beast connect, the Monster Seed blooms into a large space called the Monster Space.

In the Monster Space, primal energy from the Primal world gathers into the space, forming a spark.

Symbiotes could be called into the monster space and summoned out whenever they wished.

When all these conditions are met, the summoner is now at the first level of the Infant Star realm, which is called the Spark stage.

The Infant realm is divided into nine minor levels. Spark Stage, Cinder Stage, Ember Stage, Flame Stage, Inferno Stage, Sunfire Stage, Hellflame Stage, Eternal Stage and Chaos Ultimate Stage.

Tyrion is currently at the Infant-Star realm, Spark stage.

After the summoning ceremony, the Monster Seed had bloomed into a Monster space and a channel had opened between him and his beast, feeding him 30 percent of his Symbiote strength.

As a chicken, the feedback was too little but Tyrion had felt his physique increase slightly.

In his Monster Space, a massive three petal flower could be seen. Each petal represents Tyrion's Monster Seed Talent which is 3-star.

At the center of the massive flower was a one-meter tall brown rooster, curled comfortably on the ground.

Above the Rooster at the very center of the flower. A single golden spark of flame lit up the darkness of the Monster Space.

The pale golden spark rotated slowly, drawing in thin threads of primal energy from the void, feeding itself as it grew stronger after each revolution.

This is the so called called Infant-Star Realm, Spark Stage.

Tyrion practiced the Cosmic Shield once more before dinner, and this time, the feather-needle made out of wisps of his spark was more steady and flickered less.

He washed up and ate dinner with his mom.

After which he helped check on the animals in the barn, used the opportunity to check on the herbs he planted but they hadn't grown yet.

He expected that they would start sprouting in three days.

Then he headed to bed early.

Or at least, he pretended to.

Once the house had gone still and his mother's light no longer showed beneath her door, Tyrion slipped out of the house.

At the edge of the farm fence, an oak tree could be seen. This was the main reason he had come here. There are several trees around the farm, waiting for him to absorb their Lifetime!

He walked up to the oak tree and touched the bark.

A text flickered on the surface of the watch.

[Name: Oak Tree]

[Type: Forest Tree]

[Lifespan: 11 years]

[Extract or Transfer Lifespan?]

He chose extract without hesitation. Then he moved to the old mahogany tree just behind it and did the same.

He suddenly came face to face with a tree that grew from the neighbor's compound, extending its branches over to their compound.

It was Mrs Leonis's Sunflare orange. She had taken pride in this Sunflare Orange tree as the oranges it produces could actually increase the fire attribute of fire attributed Symbiote when taking constantly.

[Name: Sunflare Orange Tree]

[Type: Fire-Attribute Fruit Tree]

[Lifespan: 120 years]

[Ability: Produces Sunflare Oranges that restore stamina and increase fire affinity overtime]

[Extract Lifespan?]

[Infuse Lifespan?]

Tyrion didn't want to waste such a good fruit but he thought briefly about Mrs Leonis and her son Nelson.

Apart from Grant, Nelson had made Tyrion's life hell over the past few years and they were neighbors also!

If it weren't for the fact that Tyrion had barely come out, Nelson would have continued to make Tyrion's life even more miserable now that he own a Symbiote.

Tyrion didn't hesitate to drain the entire lifetime of the Sunflare Orange tree till it hit 0 years and zero months!

There was not a single hint of guilt across Tyrion's face.

He continued carefully, following the fence lines of neighboring properties and he absorbed the lifetime of the nearby trees.

By the time he stopped, roughly three hours had gone by.

The amount of Lifetime he had accumulated were much but it can never be enough.

The village trees were old by ordinary standards but haven't grown for a very long time.

12 years here, 20 there, 30 if he was lucky. After 2 hours of work, his total were just about 220 years worth of Lifetime.

Depending on the particle herb or plant, Grade-1 herbs require 2 to 100 years to mature. Grade-2 herbs required 100 to 500 years of lifetime.

Grade-3 herbs were even more difficult and require significantly more years.

He needed more lifetime years and the only place he could get some with extraordinary amount of lifetime is the Dark Gorge Forest.

The most dangerous part of the entire Gorge village.
