Chapter 1: The Scrap Yard of Lost Souls
The air in District 160 carried the stench of burning iron and the static hum of broken circuits. The sky was a dull grey, looking exactly like the 'No Signal' screen of an old television. From beneath a mountain of scrap, a hand emerged—its skin glowing with flickering blue neon circuits.
Ryan opened his eyes. He had no memory of who he was or how he had ended up there. He spotted two Glitch Hunters—hollow robots with monitors where their heads should be—advancing toward him with laser blades drawn.
"Execute... Subject 100," they droned in unison.
Terrified, Ryan grabbed a nearby iron rod. Suddenly, the rod began to 'merge' with his hand, and he smashed the first Hunter's head to pieces. As the second Hunter retreated to call for backup, Ryan noticed an old metal door in the scrap and leaped down into a dark tunnel.
