After days of worry, we finally brought Zoey back to her own space. The relief of having her home felt temporary at best.
Silas refused to leave her side, which meant the rest of our group returned to Caleb's place without them. We were assured she had recovered completely, though several more days of rest were required as a precaution.
An uncomfortable weight pressed against my chest constantly now. The fear that everything could shatter in an instant refused to leave me alone. Our enemy had breached the pack's defenses multiple times that we were aware of, moving like a ghost through our territory. Alpha Marcus and his warriors worked around the clock trying to understand how, but answers remained elusive.
