Chapter 215 - Chapter 215

Spinoff 2-1: Days of Cat and Dog (1)

On one warm spring day.

This place was Crescenta empire’s Louvremont duchy.

Befitting of the head of Duke house Louvremont, which was widely considered to be on the same level as the imperial house, Hades Louvremont was having a busy day at work as usual.

But the reason why has moved his desk all the way to the bedroom from his office to work was because of his wife who was expecting.

Despite working like someone with a nearly 24-hour workday, it was truly surprising that he never left his wife’s side for longer than 10 minutes.

After running his pen over the document for a long while, Hades tilted his head back and stretched out his neck.

“…Have I been overworking? My neck feels so stiff.”

Just then, Aisha stepped behind Hades to hug his neck lightly.

At the same time, the pure mana of the white element seeped into him. His muscles tensed up from stress and relaxed at once as if nothing happened.

With a slight laugh, Hades caressed Aisha’s arm around him then suddenly turned around.

“I thought you were sleeping, when did you get up?”

“Just now.”

With a slight smile, Aisha sat herself on Hades’ lap carefully.

Hades pecked at Aisha’s lips and chin here and there as if he was waiting to do so.

“It tickles.”

“When in the world is this kid going to come out?”

His hand patting Aisha’s swollen stomach was affectionate.

“They don’t seem to want to come out. It’s already been 4 days past the expected date.”

“They better come out if they know dad is going through so much trouble. It feels like they would be quite a trouble.”

Hades muttered in discontent, having been holding his urges back in case it troubles Aisha’s health.

With a small laugh, Aisha kissed Hades’ cheek, then exclaimed ‘ah’.

“Right. I should go see Anne. Wonder if she got better today.”

“Time is the only medicine for her.”

Hades shook his head and Aisha let out a sigh.

The maid Anne who might as well be another half of Aisha, had been sick in bed for a week already.

Most sicknesses had no chance against Aisha’s abilities, but it was a little different in Anne’s case.

There was no cure for being lovesick.

“Still, Anne made that confession after such long contemplation… how could he turn her down so coldly?”

Recalling the incident from a week ago, Aisha pouted.

Hades let out a sigh as well.

“It can’t be helped. That’s how that Azar is.”

Anne had grown her affection for him for quite a while and confessed her feelings to Azar a week ago.

The result… was devastating. He turned her down without giving her any room.

“Anyways, I should go see Anne. Being heartbroken needs a cure of the heart, not the body.”

“Then I’ll go with you. Don’t you wander around by yourself when your body is getting heavy…”

Blam-!!

Just then,

The sky outside the window got drenched red and a loud sound smacked their eardrum.

“What?”

“W-what’s going on?”

Hades and Aisha looked at each other with wide eyes and rose and ran towards the window in a hurry.

The ruckus was probably coming from the training ground where the knights were busy training.

From the bedroom of the couple on the second floor, they could clearly see what the fuss was about.

“My days…”

Surprised, Aisha clasped her hand over her mouth.

The dirt ground of the training ground had a huge crater as if the meteor had hit and white smoke was rising due to the aftermath.

The knights were training under chief Azar’s supervision but running around in a panic because of the sudden explosion.

As the smoke cleared little by little from the sight, two familiar men rose from the scene.

“Kagh… what is the meaning of this all of a sudden, you crazy bunting!”

Due to the thick smoke, Azar coughed through his covered mouth as he shouted in rage.

And,

“Aye~ today is da day ye gonna be dead, get that through ye head ~!”

Stretching his neck left and right, Roxa was approaching him with a terrible smile.

The duo were the celebrities of Louvremont, known for fighting each other at least 360 days out of 365.

Though the fight between the two of them wasn’t much of a big deal, the scale of it was ominously different.

Seemingly angered to the top of his head, Roxa curved his closed eyes into a bright smile.

Soon, his right hand in the air started to gather mana.

“Hah…”

Azar looked up at the sky in reflex, his mouth opens wide.

A few hundred of ice spikes were created, aiming down at the training ground.

“What the h-hell… Are you mad? Stop this at once!”

“Aye~ I am mad off me shoes~”

“Hey!”

“Go die already, ye punk!”

With a loud shout, Roxa shot down his right hand through the air. The ice spikes aimed at Azar rained down at once.
