Chapter 275 Huo Yuhao Takes Action, Battles the Evil Soul Master.
In the dark world, in the squares of major cities, Soul Masters looked at the sky, their discussions gradually subsiding, and all eyes were focused on the images that were about to be played.
[In the scene depicting the sky.]
Thousands of miles away from the Holy Spirit Cult headquarters, in a desolate wasteland, space suddenly cracked open.
Two figures tumbled out of the crack and crashed to the ground.
[It was Ye Xishui, the Supreme Leader of the Holy Spirit Cult, and Long Xiaoyao.]
Ye Xishui steadied herself, her pale face filled with astonishment. She looked around and found herself no longer at the Holy Spirit Cult headquarters, but in an unfamiliar wasteland. There was no evil energy, no fluctuations of soul power, nothing at all.
"What's going on?" Ye Xishui's voice was sharp, filled with barely suppressed anger. "Who teleported us out?"
Long Xiaoyao stood beside her, his expression equally grim. He sensed the fluctuations in the surrounding space, his brows furrowed.
"It's the law of space," Long Xiaoyao said. "Someone forcibly tore apart the barrier around us and threw us here."
"Spatial laws?" Ye Xishui suddenly turned to look at him. "Who can do that? In this world, besides that old geezer from Shrek Academy, who else can..."
She didn't finish her sentence, but both of them understood who she was referring to.
Long Xiaoyao was silent for a moment, then said, "If it was him, why would he do this? He could have just killed us directly; there was no need for this kind of trouble."
"I don't know," Ye Xishui gritted her teeth, "but I can sense that this isn't an attack, not a seal, just simple teleportation. Throwing us thousands of miles away without harming us in the slightest. What is he trying to do?"
Long Xiaoyao did not answer. The two stood on the wasteland, gazing at the empty horizon in the distance, falling into a long silence.
"He wants us to leave," Long Xiaoyao finally spoke, "He doesn't want us to get involved in that kid's affairs."
"That kid?" Ye Xishui frowned. "You mean that level 80 junior who broke into headquarters?"
"Who else could it be but him?" Long Xiaoyao said. "He didn't want us to take action, so he sent us away. As for why he didn't do it himself but instead sent that junior to cause trouble..."
"He wants to train his troops," Ye Xishui said coldly. "He's using our Holy Spirit Cult as a whetstone for his disciples."
Long Xiaoyao didn't speak, but his silence was the answer.
The two men stood there, their faces grim. They wanted to go back, to fight their way back to the Holy Spirit Cult headquarters, but they both knew that with their strength, they were no match for the person who could teleport them away out of thin air.
"Let's go," Long Xiaoyao finally said. "Headquarters... we can't hold on anymore."
Ye Xishui remained silent, her eyes fixed on the direction of the Holy Spirit Cult headquarters, filled with resentment.
The two transformed into two dark purple streaks of light and disappeared at the edge of the wasteland.
In the plaza of the Dark World, the Soul Masters witnessed this scene, and their discussions erupted once again.
"So it was Bai Xuanzi who did it." A Soul Master suddenly realized, "He teleported Ye Xishui and Long Xiaoyao away, leaving Huo Yuhao to deal with the remaining low-level Title Douluos."
"That makes sense," the person next to him said. "Although Bai Yuhao is level 80, he should have no problem dealing with several titled Douluo who are in their early 90s, given his rule-based domain and two-word battle armor."
"So Bai Xuanzi can do it this way," another Soul Master said. "He doesn't need to take action himself; he just needs to eliminate the threat and leave the rest to Huo Yuhao. This way, he can get real combat training without actually putting Huo Yuhao in a desperate situation. It's indeed very precise control."
"Yes," someone echoed, "Bai Xuanzi can give him opponents of whatever level he wants to deal with. If there are too many, he teleports them away; if there are too few, he sends a few back. Who in the underworld can do this kind of training?"
"Hei Xuanzi definitely can't do it," someone next to him sneered. "He can't even control himself, how can he control others?"
"But Ye Xishui and Long Xiaoyao are also quite frustrated," a female Soul Master said. "They were thrown out on their own turf, and they don't even know why the other party didn't kill them."
"Bai Xuanzi could have killed them with a flick of his finger," someone analyzed. "But he didn't kill them, perhaps because it wasn't necessary, or perhaps because he didn't want Huo Yuhao to feel that he relied on his teacher for everything. He wanted Huo Yuhao to complete this task himself, rather than having all the enemies wiped out for him."
"That's what you call training," the other person said. "It's not about throwing people into a deadly situation, but about putting enough pressure on them within a controllable range so that they can grow under pressure. Bai Xuanzi's training method is indeed brilliant."
"And have you noticed?" an older Soul Master said, "Bai Xuanzi didn't show his face at all. He teleported people away without Huo Yuhao even knowing. This ability to control everything behind the scenes is truly impressive."
"Alright, that's enough," someone said. "Look at the sky, Bai Yuhao's side is still fighting."
All eyes were once again focused on the sky.
[In the scene depicting the sky.]
[Headquarters of the Holy Spirit Cult, within a black city, where ice covers most of the outer city.]
Huo Yuhao stood in the middle of the street, the six Holy Spirit Cult elders in front of him already at a disadvantage.
Although the old man with the bone staff possessed the highest cultivation level, Huo Yuhao's domain exerted too much suppression on him. With each step he took, a chill seeped into his body, slowing down the circulation of his soul power.
"We can't delay any longer," the old man with the bone staff said through gritted teeth. "Let's use all our strength to tear open his domain!"
[Six people simultaneously unleashed their soul skills, and dark purple evil energy coalesced into a thick pillar of light, blasting towards Huo Yuhao.]
Huo Yuhao did not dodge. He activated his two-word battle armor, and a layer of dark golden light appeared on the deep purple metal surface. His soul power began to surge at this moment, forcibly increasing from level eighty to over level ninety.
"Black hole," Huo Yuhao uttered in a low voice.
The core array of the two-word battle armor activated, and a thin black crack appeared in the space before him. That crack frantically devoured the surrounding energy; the evil energy pillars of the six elders were forcibly sucked into the void the moment they touched the crack, disappearing without a trace.
"What?" The old man with the bone staff stared wide-eyed.
Huo Yuhao gave them no time to react. He flashed forward, using the propulsion of his battle armor to instantly appear in front of the old man with the bone staff.
He didn't use any soul skills; he simply raised his hand and slapped the old man with the bone staff in the chest.
The rules of the Frost Domain were triggered at this moment. Ice began to form on the old man's chest, and the ice spread from his chest to his entire body at an astonishing speed.
"No—" The old man with the bone staff only managed to utter one word before he turned into an ice sculpture.
Huo Yuhao turned and kicked the ice sculpture away. The ice sculpture crashed into the city wall and shattered into countless ice fragments.
The remaining five elders turned pale upon witnessing this scene. They wanted to run, but Huo Yuhao's domain had already locked onto them, and the ice beneath their feet prevented them from taking a single step.
Huo Yuhao didn't stop and continued walking towards the next elder.
