Moon walked out of the shop and into the center of the city. He didn't hide anymore. He wanted the High Hunter to find him.
Suddenly, the flying cars in the sky stopped moving. The neon lights turned blood-red. The people on the street screamed and ran into buildings.
From the top of a giant skyscraper, a figure jumped down.
BOOM!
The glass floor cracked as the figure landed. He was a tall man wearing a coat made of white feathers. He had long, golden hair and four glowing eyes. In his hands, he held two guns made of white light.
[High Hunter: Zero (Level 40 Elite)]

"So, you're the glitch," Zero said. His voice sounded like two people talking at the same time. "You've caused a lot of trouble for the Bosses. But my guns never miss. One shot, and your code is deleted."
Zero didn't wait. He raised his white guns and fired.
PEW! PEW! PEW!
Bullets made of pure white light flew at Moon. They were so fast they looked like lasers.
Moon used [Glitch Step]. He turned into red pixels and the bullets went right through him. He re-appeared ten feet closer to Zero.
Zero laughed. "You think teleporting will save you? My bullets track your soul!"
The white bullets suddenly turned around in the air! They chased Moon like heat-seeking missiles.
Moon spun his Reaper's Scythe. He tried to hit the bullets, but they were too small. He realized he couldn't just use power. He had to use his new [Admin Access].
He focused his eyes. The world became a grid of blue code. He saw the "Tracking Code" on the bullets.
"Code Cancel!" Moon yelled.
He touched the air. A ripple of red energy hit the bullets. The white light turned into gray junk and fell to the floor. They were no longer magic; they were just pieces of lead.
Zero's four eyes widened. "What?! You cancelled my tracking?!"
"I'm the Null," Moon said, his voice deep and scary. "I don't follow your rules."
Moon used Shadow Step and Glitch Step together. He moved so fast he seemed to be in five places at once.
Zero panicked. He fired his guns in every direction, but he couldn't hit anything.
"Flaming Fist + Spirit Blade!" Moon shouted.
He didn't use his scythe. He appeared right in front of Zero and punched him in the chest with a fist made of exploding red fire and sharp ghost energy.
KA-BOOM!
Zero was sent flying through three neon buildings. His white coat was burned to ash. He crashed onto a bridge, coughing up blue blood.
[Target Weakened! Harvesting Essence...]
Moon walked slowly toward him. "You call yourself a God-Slayer? Let's see how much power a God has."
Moon raised his hand. The red energy of the [Grim Reaper] talent roared out like a hungry ghost. It wrapped around Zero, pulling out his glowing blue soul.

Moon stood over the broken body of the hunter. He felt like he could crush the entire city with one hand.
He looked up at the highest building in the Spire. It was a giant tower that reached into the clouds. That was the Core. That was where the Game Masters were hiding.
Moon started walking. Every step he took made the glass floor crack.
"Lina, Alex..." Moon said, looking back at the portal to the lower floors. "Stay safe down there. Because by the time you reach this floor, I won't just be a player. I'll be the one running the world."
