The next morning
Monty pov
It was 5:30am, as I slowly opened my eyes, I see Nelly sound asleep in my arms, peacefully. As I gazed lovingly at her sleeping form, I noticed hickeys and bite marks along her neck and shoulder and I'm thinking to myself ~ damn, what a hot night ~I sighed heavily. I Rosed out of bed to take a fast shower, then I figured I'd bring back some breakfast to surprise her in bed. So, I left her a note on my nightstand by the bed in case she woke up before I returned. I looked at her one more time til I placed a kiss on her head and whispered, "I love ya'h , ferever my darlin, m'a Rockstar " and left my room to bring back breakfast for us plus after the night we had, she needed to rest and recover. Especially with all the hickeys and bite marks and if her brother were to see them, I'd be gator boots for sure.
Nelly pov
I woke up and realized it was after 6am, I looked to see Monty wasn't there then, I saw a note card with hearts 💕 on it saying " went to grab us breakfast, be back soon " xoxo Monty "gator beau " I couldn't help but smile at the last line on the note " gator beau " with xo's on it. I thought bout taking a bath and soak for a bit, I was just about to gather up my clothes from the night before til I saw my reflection in the vanity mirror and saw all the hickeys and bite marks on my neck and shoulder. ~huh, I thought to myself ~I better find a way to cover these before Eddie kills him ~ so, as I was gathering up my clothes, I heard the room door opened seeing Monty entered with a couple bags of food and a couple of drinks. "
"Whatcha doing there, Cher "? He asked. "Oh, I was just grabbing my clothes to take a bath " I said. "Well, I figured afta breakfast, would ya'h wanna go swimming since everyone's gonna be there " said suggestedly. "Sure, but I'll have to check on the kids " I said. " No problem, doll, I talked with ya'h brotha, they'll meet us over there " he said as he laid trays with eggs, hash browns, and fruit salad with Greek yogurt and a berry sangria daydream drink from Dunkin doughnuts. After breakfast, we've got ourselves ready and headed down to the pool area where everyone was chilling, laughing and enjoying themselves by the pool.
The kids were having fun splashing each other, Charlie and the mice were about to start up a game of volleyball 🏐, Freddy, Chica and Roxanne chilled by the snacks and drinks bar and my brother was keeping an eye on the kids. As soon as Monty and I had arrived, I overheard Charlie stated " Morning, lovebirds " " morning " we both said at the same time. "So, Monty, seems I was right bout what I said " Charlie said. "Yeah, thanks " Monty said sheepishly as his cheeks turned red. " by the way, how did ya go from " robo gator" to " humangator" Vinnie asked. "I'll explain it and show ya'h sometime " Monty said. " we'd be Interested as well " Freddy, Chica, and Roxy chimed in. " Sure " Monty replied. "So, now that you're dating our mom, does that make you " step gator dad" or something"?! Danny asked curiously. "Well, it's a bit early t'a say kiddo, but who knows that is if that's what ya'h like " I paused at the moment I heard those words. ~did he just say, "if that's what ya'h like "? ~ he may be an animatronic and a gator on top of that, yet he slightly seems interested about wanting a family, was that even possible? A robotic mascot with a desire for a life and family of his own. "Doll" "hmm" I was soon snapped out of my train of thoughts. " ya'h alright there Cher, ya'h look pretty tired " Monty asked. "Just a little bit but I'll be alright " I said trying to sound reasuredly. " If ya'h say so, doll face, just don't push ya'h self too hard " he said tenderly. I then turned to kiss him on the cheek and said, " you're cute and adorable when you care" Monty gushed at the statement " of course, what gator would I'd be if I didn't care bout ma' gal"? He asked.
"Fair enough " I said. " mommy "? My attention soon fell on lily who was tugging at my leg " what is it, sweetie "? I crouched down to her level and asked. " Now that mister Monty is your boyfriend, will that mean you guys be getting married "? She asked innocently. " I don't know, it's too soon to say, why do you ask, sweetheart "? I asked further. " Mister Monty is nice, and I think you two look cute together is all, mommy " she replied. "So, you wouldn't be mad if he'd were to ever ask me "? I asked teasingly. " no, I'd be happy and mister Monty reminds me of daddy " she said. "He does "? I asked in surprise. "Yeah, and made me wondered if he'll like being mine too as much as "daddy " did" she said shyly.
"Only time will tell, sweetie " I said reasuredly to her, kissed her cheek and she went back to play with her brother and uncle. "Everything alright, Cher"? Monty asked. "Yeah, everything is fine " I said. "Wanna talk about it "? He asked as if worried. "Sure " I said flatly. So, we walked over to the snacks and drinks bar and ordered a very berry sangria smoothie and Monty ordered a mango, orange pineapple smoothie. " So, what was wrong with lily "? He asked. " Oh, nothing she asked about us and she misses her daddy, it's been hard for us since he you know " I said. " Does she not like me "? He asked nervously. " no, she really likes you, matter of fact, she even asked me if there's going to be a wedding now that we're officially dating " he frozed as if he was trying to figure out what to say next. " Are you alright there, gator beau "? I asked. " uh,yeah, I'm fine " he said trying to play it off cool. " I'm sorry if that came off strange and weird" I said apologetically. " Nah, doll, y'all's fine and it's okay if she's cool about us" he said. " I love ya'h and the children " are you sure "? I asked. "Yeah " he said confidently. " I'm going to check up on the kids, be right back, beau " I said then turned to kiss him on the tip of his nose. " Alright, doll " he said lovingly as if his eyes were begging me to stay longer, then I left to check on the kids.
Monty pov
Nelly left to check on her youngins, I chilled back at the bar sipping my smoothie til Freddy came up to me and said " hey, Monty, how are things with you and Nelly "?" Fine " I replied with a sigh. " What's the problem "? He asked. " Nothing really, just lily and Danny were being curious bout our relationship " I stated. "Like how "? He asked. "Danny asked if I was bout to be his gator stepdad N' lily asked Nelly if she N' I were gonna be gettin married now that we're a couple " I said. "And that's bad"? He continued to ask. "Nah, it's just that I hadn't thought that something like that was even possible and if that even is, I'd like to have that chance " I said boldly. " So, are you intending on marrying her then "? He asked. " ya'h know what, fazbutt, I think I'd might " I said confidently and all I have to do is wait til the right time to ask her.
As the very thought crossed my mind, I began to think of ways of if I was going to ask her, the main concerns of when and how appeared in my head. " you know , Monty " Roxanne started to say " I had overheard the boss mentioned a valentine's day dance party for couples, maybe this could help you with a proposal idea " "well, this would be ma' first valentine's with anyone and our first together as a couple, so I need t'a come up with a very romantic approach t'a ensure any chance that she'll say yes " I said determined . "Well, that's in less than 3 months from now " Chica chimed in. " I know, and I really want everything to be perfect " I said nervously. "Cheer up, Monty, you got all of us here to help " Freddy said whole heartedly. "That's right, even us and Charlie girl here" throttle replied.
" Thanks, guys, ya'll tha best mates a gator can ask fer" I said with a smile. "Anytime, big guy " Vinnie said with a fist bump to me. "So, kids are eager to add you to the fold, huh"? Modo asked with a knowing grin. " Yeah, I reckon they'd do" I replied in turn. " Well, kids are always the toughest critics, and if they'd didn't take a liking to you one bit, then you and miss Nelly wouldn't be where you are now "a couple " he said. " Modo, ma' mousy bro, ya'h right " I said with a new confidence. " I know I am " he said. " You just enjoy some time with Nelly and the kids, we'll take care of the rest when the time comes "Modo said. "Gotcha " I said. "Good, you guys should take as much time getting used to being a couple/family before being married into one " Charlie suggested. " especially with her big brother here and that asshole Phil, if you're serious as far as proving you're the right guy for Nelly, then you're going to have to prove yourself, you know like say "stink face " shows up again, you're gonna have to give him a clear message that Nelly is taken and spoken for, got me"? She said seeking confirmation. "Yeah, I gotcha " I replied. "Good, now, let's start going over ideas about this " maybe proposal " she suggested. And we started going over plans for operation " Perfect proposal ".
