Chapter 12 - first kiss

Chapter 11

The Night I Couldn't Stop

Keifers pov

I don't remember when it started.

Or how she became…

this important.

At first…

she was just annoying.

Too loud.

Too stubborn.

But now?

She was everywhere.

In my thoughts.

In my silence.

In my nights.

Especially at night.

"Are you sleeping?"

I typed.

"No."

"Good."

"Why?"

"Come to the terrace."

A pause.

"Now?"

"Yes."

"…okay."

I didn't smile.

But something inside me…

shifted.

The night was quiet.

Cool breeze.

Empty streets.

I stood there…

hands in my pockets…

waiting.

And then—

She came.

Slow steps.

Slightly nervous.

"Why did you call me here?"

I looked at her.

And for a second…

I forgot the answer.

Because she looked…

soft.

Different.

Like she didn't belong to the world.

Like she was just…

mine.

"Keifer?"

I blinked.

"Nothing."

"Then why am I here?"

I stepped closer.

"Because I wanted to see you."

She frowned slightly.

"You see me every day."

"Not like this."

Silence.

The wind moved her hair slightly.

And I don't know why…

but I noticed everything.

Her eyes.

Her lips.

Her breath.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Like what?"

"…like that."

I didn't answer.

Because I didn't have words for it.

I just stepped closer.

She didn't move.

"Jay…"

"Hmm?"

"Do you trust me?"

She nodded instantly.

That was it.

That one thing.

And something inside me…

snapped.

Or maybe…

it finally gave in.

I lifted my hand slowly.

Paused.

Gave her time to stop me.

She didn't.

So I touched her face.

Soft.

Careful.

Her breath hitched.

"Keifer…"

I leaned closer.

Too close.

Our breaths mixing.

Our silence louder than anything.

"This is wrong…"

she whispered.

"Then stop me."

She didn't.

Her eyes closed slowly.

And that was enough.

I kissed her.

Soft at first.

Like I was asking.

Like I wasn't sure.

But then—

She responded.

And everything changed.

It wasn't soft anymore.

It was real.

Deep.

Something we couldn't control.

Something we didn't want to.

My hand tightened slightly on her waist.

Pulling her closer.

Like I didn't want any space between us.

Like I couldn't breathe without her.

She held onto me.

And for that moment…

nothing else existed.

Not the world.

Not the future.

Not the consequences.

Just us.

Just this.

When we finally pulled away…

Her eyes were still closed.

Her lips slightly parted.

Her breath uneven.

"Jay…"

She opened her eyes slowly.

And looked at me.

Different.

Like something changed.

Like something began.

"We shouldn't have…"

"Yeah."

Silence.

"Regret it?"

I asked.

She shook her head immediately.

"No."

A small smile.

"Good."

She hit my chest lightly.

"Idiot."

"Say thank you."

She laughed softly.

And I knew.

That was it.

There was no going back now.

Because that kiss…

wasn't just a moment.

It was a promise.

Unspoken.

Dangerous.

Real.

And I didn't know then…

That one day…

I would remember this exact moment…

and wish I had never let it happen.

Because losing her…

after this…

Wouldn't just hurt.

It would destroy me.

To be continued… 😏💔
