Chapter 1 - Edge of Life

Betrayed at the Edge of Death

Sara never imagined that betrayal would come from the people closest to her…

Years of friendship, laughter, and shared secrets.

She believed her friends were her second family… or so she thought.

On a calm morning, they invited her on a trip to a distant mountain, surrounded by a dense forest, with a deep, dark lake at its base.

The place was terrifying… yet beautiful.

They reached the top after a long climb.

The wind was strong, almost as if it was warning them of something.

Sara stepped closer to the edge, staring down at the endless water below…

Something felt wrong.

An unsettling silence.

Before she could turn—

A sudden push from behind.

A scream shattered the stillness,

as her body fell into the unknown.

She hit the water hard.

Pain spread through her body, leaving her unable to move.

She slowly opened her eyes, trying to understand what had happened…

But she wasn't alone.

From the depths, a massive shadow moved toward her.

A crocodile.

It rushed closer, jaws wide open.

Sara screamed, fighting with everything she had.

With a strength she never knew existed, she resisted.

She pushed, struggled, and somehow…

she escaped.

But she was bleeding.

Weak. Barely alive.

She looked up toward the edge…

No one was there.

They were gone.

Her friends… had left her to die.

Tears mixed with blood as they streamed down her face.

But deep inside, something ignited—

She would not die here.

With great effort, she swam to the shore and dragged herself out of the water, gasping for air.

She looked around…

A dark forest.

Terrifying silence.

Strange sounds echoing in the distance.

She was alone.

But she refused to give up.

Despite the pain, she stood up and walked toward the forest…

Unaware that what awaited her

was far worse than what she left behind…
