Out of everyone present in the cavern, Melody found herself struggling the most.
Lukas was Lukas, which meant he couldn't possibly fail. Especially with how many skills he had in his arsenal.

As for Akira, she was the most experienced out of the three of them, and she was surely used to situations like this.
Melody knew without a doubt that even if Lukas was brought down, it wouldn't be easy for the bats to do the same to Akira.
Even Percival looked like he was having fun amidst all of this.

Maybe she should've been the one with the headband, not Akira.
