"Oh, you're back early," the receptionist said. "Did you finish a task?"
"I stayed overnight in the forest," Scy replied. "It was already night,
so I didn't come back to sell the gem."
"I see. What task did you take?"
Scy handed over the paper and the red gem.
The entire guild went silent.
Everyone stared.
The receptionist was shocked.
"You… did you defeat a Class S Dragon?" she asked.
"Yes," Scy answered calmly. "I only needed one hit. I thought it would
be harder."
The people around him were stunned.
The receptionist quickly regained her composure.
"Wait here. I will prepare your reward."
After a moment, she returned and handed him two sacks of gold coins.
"This is your reward."
Scy looked surprised. "All of this is mine?"
"Yes. You earned it."
"I see… Thank you. I'll go home first. I'll give this to my family. Then
I'll come back and take more tasks."
As he turned to leave, a man stepped in front of him.
A Class S adventurer.
"You… are you the one who killed the Class S Dragon?" the man asked.
"Yes," Scy replied.
"Liar!" the man shouted. "We are four Class S adventurers and we
couldn't defeat it. And you, a Class E, did it alone? That's
impossible!"
Scy sighed.
"I don't want trouble. This will only lead to a fight."
He turned around and started walking away.
"Hey! That's rude!" the man shouted.
He drew his sword and launched a powerful attack.
But—
Scy easily dodged it.
Everyone gasped.
Without even looking back, Scy continued walking away.

"Mother, Father… here," he said as he handed them the gold.
"Use this to help everyone here."

"Where did you get this?" his father asked.

A man named Dios Lio was speaking loudly, attracting attention.

An old man nearby trembled as he spoke.

the end of the world…"
The adventurers laughed.
"You're crazy, old man," one of them said, pushing him aside.
But the old man kept repeating the same words.
"The Demon God… has been born…"
