In the back mountains of Canaan Academy's Inner Academy.
After swallowing a body-protecting pill, Xiao Yixian summoned the Nether Poison Flame from a storage ring.
The spirit of the Nether Poison Flame had been awake for quite some time.
Refining an intelligent Heavenly Flame would undoubtedly be more difficult than refining a non-intelligent one.
But similarly, if successful, the benefits it could bring her were self-evident.
So, for a while now, Xiao Yixian had kept it by her side, "cultivating their relationship."
The flame spirit, whose memories had been erased, had a rather simple mind.
And the first person it saw after regaining consciousness was Xiao Yixian.
Coupled with Xiao Yixian's "care" over these past few days, their relationship was quite good.
Xiao Yixian took out an antidote pill and dangled it in front of the flame spirit.
The fire cat, which had been dormant, instantly "powered on" and activated.
Its emerald green eyes stared at the antidote pill in Xiao Yixian's hand, with a human-like longing.
"Meow~"
Xiao Yixian had been feeding the flame spirit with various pills these past few days.
However, these were only first-grade or second-grade pills.
Or rather, they weren't even considered pills, but merely pure energy condensed from medicinal ingredients.
But for a Heavenly Flame, as long as it had energy, it was a good thing.
Therefore, a sixth-grade antidote pill held a strong attraction for the current flame spirit.
Xiao Yixian smiled and fed the antidote pill to the flame spirit.
Due to the effects of the antidote pill, the toxins on the flame spirit were quickly "suppressed."
Of course, this antidote pill only allowed the Woeful Poison Body to "treat" the Nether Poison Flame as an ordinary flame.
Ordinary people would still be poisoned if they came into contact with the Nether Poison Flame.
Then, Xiao Yixian picked up the bewildered flame spirit and swallowed it whole.
Though it sounds exaggerated, the core flame of the Nether Poison Flame wasn't actually large.
When Xiao Yixian swallowed the core flame, it looked as if she had swallowed a fire cat in one gulp.
What she needed to do was to completely refine it and guide it into the Spirit Nurturing Space before the antidote pill's effects wore off.
Otherwise, once the medicine wore off and the Woeful Poison Body detected the toxicity of the Nether Poison Flame,
it might spontaneously absorb the poison flame.
And at that time, the flame spirit would instinctively resist.
If that happened, being burned by a Heavenly Flame would be disastrous.
After swallowing the Nether Poison Flame, Xiao Yixian endured its scorching heat, urging it to move along the cultivation technique's path.
However, even getting a non-intelligent Heavenly Flame to follow a cultivation technique's path was quite difficult.
An intelligent Heavenly Flame made it even harder.
After the flame spirit was swallowed by Xiao Yixian, its limited understanding wasn't enough for it to comprehend what was about to happen.
So, after a brief moment of bewilderment, it began to dart around wildly in Xiao Yixian's meridians.

Its erratic movements caused Xiao Yixian considerable suffering.
As the flame spirit darted through the meridians, the protective energy crystal layer within the meridians was being consumed at an alarming rate.
During this time, a tiny wisp of green flame actually pierced directly through the crystal layer's defense and landed on Xiao Yixian's meridian.
Immediately, the meridian tensed up like a startled loach.
A severe, soul-deep pain almost made Xiao Yixian lose her composure, causing her to spurt out a mouthful of blood.
This scene instantly made Xiao Xue and the others nervous.
After all, even Yao Lao had never seen anyone refine an intelligent Heavenly Flame.
So, upon discovering an unexpected turn in the process, they naturally became worried.
Yao Lao even prepared to intervene at any moment; if the situation became uncontrollable, he would immediately strip away the Nether Poison Flame.
This wouldn't be entirely without harm, but it would at least save Xiao Yixian's life.
Fortunately, Xiao Yixian reacted in time, using her soul power to forcefully soothe the curious flame spirit, preventing the situation from worsening.
The flame spirit and Xiao Yixian had been together for several months, and they had developed some tacit understanding.
So, upon sensing Xiao Yixian's consciousness, the flame spirit halted its movements, still a bit confused.
However, it continued to curiously observe its surroundings.
Xiao Yixian took a deep breath, forcibly suppressed the discomfort in her body, and tried to make the flame spirit move along the cultivation technique's path within her meridians.
But the flame spirit wasn't a docile one; getting it to fully obey was still somewhat difficult.
The flame spirit often followed Xiao Yixian's instructions for a while in the meridians, then, if it found something interesting, it would go investigate first.
As a result, the refining process was agonizingly slow.
An hour later, the flame spirit hadn't even completed half of the cultivation technique's path.
The protective crystal layer had already begun to weaken.
Two antidote pills had already been used.
If the flame spirit couldn't quickly pass through the meridians and be guided into the Spirit Nurturing Space,
then this refining attempt would be declared a failure.
Xiao Xue watched from the side, her heart filled with anxiety, but she could do nothing.
Refining a Heavenly Flame could only be done by oneself, at most with the aid of pills.
No outsider could offer direct help.
Xiao Yixian naturally knew her situation; she gritted her teeth and swallowed the last antidote pill.
This time, however, she didn't directly let the flame spirit consume the antidote pill, but instead used the pill's energy as bait.
The energy of the antidote pill was enveloped by Xiao Yixian's Dou Qi and then injected into her cultivation technique's path.
With the "bait," the refining process naturally accelerated greatly.
The flame spirit followed the pill's energy, running and eating along the way.
It only took a dozen minutes to complete the remaining half of the cultivation technique's path.
Next, she only needed to guide the flame spirit into the Spirit Nurturing Space, and the refinement of the Nether Poison Flame would be complete.
"Tsk, what a clever girl."
Yao Lao also noticed Xiao Yixian's method and couldn't help but nod in approval.
It seemed the most dangerous part was over.
After all, the flame spirit was now, in effect, in a refined state.
Its "intimacy" with Xiao Yixian had increased many times over.
Xiao Xue took out a large bottle of Ice Spirit Cold Spring from her storage ring and handed it to Xiao Yixian.
At this point, the protective energy crystal layer within Xiao Yixian's body had been largely consumed.
So, Xiao Yixian didn't waste any time; she took the Ice Spirit Cold Spring and started drinking it.
After chugging down more than half the bottle, Xiao Yixian exhaled a breath of cold air and once again immersed her consciousness within her body.
At this moment, the idle flame spirit was wandering around in Xiao Yixian's meridians.
Having already traversed the cultivation technique's path once, the Nether Poison Flame's damage to Xiao Yixian's meridians had greatly reduced.
It even released energy to repair Xiao Yixian's damaged meridians as it passed by.
Within Xiao Yixian's body, a small gray light spot floated.
Inside the light spot was an endless, profound darkness.
The end of the darkness seemed to conceal another space, appearing extremely mysterious.
—Spirit Nurturing Space.
After the meridians were fully repaired, the idle flame spirit slowly drifted towards the Spirit Nurturing Space.
Lingering around the Spirit Nurturing Space, the flame spirit seemed quite curious about it, attempting to touch it several times.
However, perhaps due to a faint sense of apprehension, its actions were somewhat hesitant.
The slightly intelligent flame spirit vaguely knew that if it touched this gray light spot, it would lose its freedom permanently... Although the one who fed it pills was indeed nice, the flame spirit was not yet ready to completely lose its freedom.
After some deliberation, the flame spirit gave up on this adventurous move and turned to leave the area.
Losing freedom for a curious toy was not something a cat would do.
However, just as the flame spirit was about to turn and leave, Xiao Yixian, at precisely the right moment, gently pushed it with her soul power.
A section of the flame spirit's tail brushed against the Spirit Nurturing Space, and the light within the gray spot rapidly vanished.
"Meow...!"
A terrifying suction force surged from the Spirit Nurturing Space, sucking the small fire cat, which couldn't escape in time, into it with a whoosh... Xiao Yixian let out a sigh of relief.
It was extremely difficult to make a wild cat acknowledge an owner.
Historically, there had been cases of intelligent Heavenly Flames backlashing against their masters.
The most famous among them was the Purifying Demonic Lotus Saint, who was backlashed by the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame.
However, ever since the flame spirit regained its intelligence, it had always been with Xiao Yixian.
And now, the Nether Poison Flame had also been refined by her.
Therefore, Xiao Yixian was confident that she would "tame" this little wild cat in the future, making it obedient.
The next moment, Xiao Yixian directly activated the Nether Poison Flame.
Then, her aura began to surge dramatically.
