I woke up the next morning, and the heavy silence in the massive master bedroom felt very peaceful. The morning sun shined through the tall windows, casting bright light across the dark wooden floor. Mason was already awake, and he sat in a comfortable chair near the window while he drank a cup of dark coffee. He wore a simple white shirt and dark trousers, leaving his strict corporate suits hidden inside the closet.
"Good morning," Mason greeted me with a warm smile. "We do not have any corporate meetings today, and we do not have to fight my uncle. We just need to pack our travel bags, because our flight leaves in three hours."
