"Damn it… troublesome."
Clearly, the Sword of Gryffindor was proving far too resistant to magic. Even the Disarming Charm cast by Voldemort's remnant soul had no effect. And this was no ordinary Disarming Charm; it was one cast by a wizard of legendary power! Even Harry, in his transformed state where he could easily overpower the average legendary wizard in hand-to-hand combat, had been thrown back several meters!
"Oh, well."
At least Harry Potter is now without a weapon.
Just as Voldemort's remnant soul thought this, he saw Harry, who had recovered in mere moments, casually flick his wrist. The pink sword flew back into his hand seemingly of its own accord!
He didn't even say 'Accio!'
Could Harry Potter have learned the Silent Spell? It's possible, but highly unlikely.
Voldemort's remnant soul didn't dwell on it too much; it wasn't the Gryffindor Sword, so the pink sword didn't matter.
Boom!
The earth around them was torn apart, rushing towards Voldemort's remnant soul. Instantly, he transformed into black mist and shot into the sky.
The sky responded with a torrential downpour of lightning.
"What an annoying brat."
Raising a shield to block the lightning, Voldemort's remnant soul's face darkened.
While Tom's apprentice may not be quite as remarkable as we were in our youth, she's still far superior to the average wizard.
After their brief exchange, Voldemort's remnant soul realized this little girl might even be stronger than Bellatrix and Barty Crouch Jr.. Of his former subordinates, only Severus Snape was undoubtedly more powerful than her.
"Truly troublesome!"
For Voldemort's remnant soul, Cassandra was proving to be the most difficult to deal with. In terms of both strength and her enhancements, this little girl was not only the hardest to fight, but also the least intimidating.
For the time being, I really don't have a good solution. I'm struggling to incapacitate Cassandra without harming her.
Crack!
Under the cover of thunder, Cassandra Apparated several dozen meters away. An eerie green glow emanated from her ornate wand.
Voldemort's remnant soul remained troubled. After waiting for the lightning to dissipate, he couldn't help but remark, "This brat's magic isn't normal either."
Then, he deactivated his shield.
"Avada Kedavra!"
What the hell?!
Fortunately, Voldemort's remnant soul's reaction speed far surpassed that of an average wizard, and he quickly cast a Flight Charm to dodge the incoming bolt of eerie green.
"..."
Voldemort's remnant soul silently stared at the Killing Curse, now as thick as a baby's arm.
This brat's personality is dangerous too.
Although it seems like this isn't the first time I've said that.
But I still want to say that I'm starting to dislike the Killing Curse. Who invented this damn curse? Didn't they know it was incredibly difficult to block?
"Avada Kedavra!"
"Expelliarmus!"
Cassandra pressed her advantage, relentlessly casting the Killing Curse!
Voldemort's remnant soul couldn't kill her, so he could only use a Disarming Charm to block it, since ordinary defensive spells were useless.
Two bolts of lightning, one red and one green, collided instantly. The spells intertwined and crashed against each other, sending sparks of magical energy outwards from the point of impact.
At first glance, it looked like welding.
Cassandra had learned welding techniques from Tom long ago, including accurately judging the angle and energy output of magic, and using less magic to defeat her opponent.
But this time was different. Voldemort's remnant soul, as a legendary wizard, possessed far greater magical power than she did; the difference couldn't be bridged by skill alone!
Unless Voldemort's remnant soul's wand also didn't want to harm Cassandra, she couldn't win this spell-based battle.
However, while Cassandra didn't have the wand connection, she had a far more powerful one.
This meant Voldemort's remnant soul didn't even dare to let his Excalibur touch her.
"..."
Voldemort's remnant soul gritted his teeth.
This brat's magic power is considerable; dragging this out is not a solution.
The next second, he stopped casting his spell, transforming into black mist and narrowly avoiding the incoming Killing Curse.
Seeing Voldemort's remnant soul flee into the distance as black mist, Cassandra quickly cast a Flight Charm to give chase.
"Thunderous Explosion!"
"Powerful Blast!"
"Shatter to Pieces!"
"Out of Body!"
"Crushing Blows!"
"Soul Annihilation!"
"Avada Kedavra—!"
From the dark, leaden clouds, various colored spells poured from the gaps, her powerful magic tearing through the clouds time and again.
Cassandra relentlessly unleashed powerful spells on Voldemort's remnant soul as if they cost nothing.
But even she had to admit that their difference in strength was too great!
Although Voldemort's remnant soul appeared to be constantly dodging and weaving, Cassandra could tell that if he got serious, she wouldn't even have a chance to land a hit.
This frustrated and annoyed her greatly.
Tom could easily defeat Dumbledore at her age, and even Voldemort's remnant soul, another Voldemort, was far stronger than her at that age.
Cassandra had heard from Tom that while Voldemort's remnant soul seemed like a comical character to him, he was actually probably the most talented dark wizard in history besides Tom himself.
Even Gellert Grindelwald was slightly inferior. (There's a difference even between talents of 10; the casting and power of dark magic require negative emotions, and the more crazed Voldemort's remnant soul undoubtedly surpasses Grindelwald in this regard.)
After all, Voldemort is widely recognized in the wizarding world as the "most powerful dark wizard of all time."
Grindelwald once swept across Europe, but at Voldemort's peak, apart from Hogwarts led by Dumbledore, all other places surrendered.
Cassandra wasn't incapable of accepting that she was inferior to Voldemort's remnant soul.
But being inferior to someone her own age made her somewhat upset.
Recalling Tom's words about how the Aurora could cast curses that even middle-aged Dumbledore couldn't ward off while still in school, and how, upon graduation, while not reaching legendary wizard status, was enough to crush most elite Aurors.
As for Cassandra herself, she had to admit that without this powerful wand perfectly suited to her, she was still a step below becoming an elite Auror.
Could it be that hard work truly can't compete with these gifted geniuses?
Thinking of this, Cassandra increased the frequency and power of her spells even further.
This really annoyed Voldemort's remnant soul. He couldn't understand this little girl's temper at all. She was casting these powerful spells as if they were free, requiring an unusually low amount of magic power. He figured he'd have to save her when her magic ran out.
This made Voldemort's remnant soul feel incredibly frustrated. He was getting beaten up but couldn't say a word, and he had to constantly protect her. Even dogs couldn't beat him at being a dog.
But Voldemort's remnant soul quickly lost his temper. His eyes widened, and his heart skipped a beat.
"No way?"
A raging inferno erupted. Cassandra even used Weather Charms to summon the dark clouds that had appeared due to her spells to fuel the raging fire. Soon, the entire sky was ablaze!
