Chapter 1 - First day college

My first day of college turned out to be the strangest—and funniest—day of my life, though I didn't know that at the time.

That morning, I decided I would walk into college looking "cool." New clothes, a stylish bag, hair perfectly set—everything was on point. As I stepped through the gate, I told myself, "This is the new me!"

But within the first five minutes, all my plans fell apart.

I saw someone who looked like a confident senior and asked,

"Excuse me, where is the first-year classroom?"

He adjusted his glasses and said very confidently,

"See that red building? Go straight, then left, then right—just keep going."

I thanked him and hurried off.

Ten minutes later, I realized I hadn't reached any classroom—I had walked straight into the college kitchen!

A cook looked at me and said,

"Hey! Are you the new chef?"

Embarrassed, I replied, "No… I'm a student!"

He laughed and said, "Then why are you in the kitchen on your first day?"

As I walked out, I saw that "senior" laughing from a distance. Later, I found out—he was a first-year student just like me! 😑

Anyway, after wandering around for a while, I finally found a classroom. I paused at the door and told myself, "This time, no mistakes."

I walked in confidently and said,

"May I come in, sir?"

Silence.

Then suddenly, the whole room burst into laughter!

I looked around—and realized it wasn't my class. It was a dance practice room! And the "sir" was just a student playing music on a speaker.

I quickly ran out.

Finally, I managed to find the correct classroom. The class began, and the teacher said,

"Today, everyone will give an interesting introduction."

When my turn came, I was so nervous that I blurted out,

"I can cook… and I also accidentally join dance practices!"

The whole class laughed again.

But something surprising happened after that—everyone started talking to me. Some said, "You're really funny!" Others said, "We had similar first days too!"

By the end of the day, I realized something important:

You don't have to be perfect. Sometimes, your mistakes create the best memories.

And that "fake senior"?

He is now my best friend.

So my first day of college wasn't just nerve-wracking—it became a fun adventure I'll never forget!
