Chapter 4 - The Brothers of Light and Shadow

When shadow seeks the fallen light, the world will remember the forgotten name — Aethyrii."

Long before the gods turned against magic—before the skies bled fire and the earth trembled—two brothers stood on opposite sides of fate.

They were Elwin and Dominion, sons of the noble House of Salorion.

Even after centuries, the forest of Eziobodo still remembers them.

And tonight, they came to see themselves again after a very long time

Elwin walked quietly, his Dark robe brushing against soft moss.

His staff glowed faintly, its light peaceful.

Then, from the shadows ahead, Dominion appeared—his Red cloak flowing like smoke, his eyes glowing with quiet power.

"Still carrying the light," Dominion said with a smirk.

"And you're still hiding from it," Elwin replied calmly.

They faced each other, silent for a moment.

Two brothers. Two paths.

They had once studied together in Calavorn, city of spellwrights.

Elwin was chosen by the Order of the White Spell and granted immortality as nature way to provide a direct rival against his rebellious brother.

Dominion was brilliant too—but impatient, always searching for secrets others feared.

That hunger changed him.

"You got the light, the praise, and the gods' love," Dominion said bitterly. "I was told to wait. I waited too long."

"You turned your heart away, Dominion," Elwin said softly. "You were never denied."

"I searched for the truth," Joshua snapped. "Truth that the gods buried."

Dark runes appeared faintly around him, swirling before fading.

He had built The Dark Spell, a group of outcasts who followed him into the forgotten tombs of Altamar also known as the hall of mercy

There, he found a Forbidden-book—and the truth no one else knew, he was also able to grant himself immortality. His magic is now much more powerful and no longer need the ancestry witch before he perform any powerful spell, meaning he now draws his power from the universe. The forbidden book had so many contexts in it such as Expression magical, Divine dark magic, God like spells and forgotten creatures.

It spoke of the Aethyrii, an ancient race of beings once feared by even the gods.

They were said to hold the balance between creation and destruction.

But when their power grew too strong, the gods wiped them out.

All… except one.

One Aethyrii was destined to return as a human in the 21st century, carrying both the gift and the curse of his kind.

His name would be Achodor.

Dominion's eyes glowed faintly as he remembered that line from the book.

He wasn't planning to destroy this Achodor.

He planned to find him—and corrupt him.

Together, they could rule both gods and men.

"You still believe the prophecy?" Elwin asked quietly.

"I've seen it," Dominion said. "I've read what's coming. The Aethyrii will rise again—and so will Nemeon."

At the name, Elwin's face changed.

"That creature was destroyed ages ago."

Dominion smiled darkly. "So they thought. The Nemeon would return at the same time as Aethyrii's rebirth.

A beast that once terrified even warlocks and gods.

When it returns, I'll use it. With its power, I'll conquer all. Even the heavens will kneel."

Elwin shook his head. "You're lost, brother."

Dominion stepped closer, his shadow touching Elwin's light.

"Lost? No. I'm patient. You already saw what am capable of currently, You'll see soon enough."

If am speaking the truth or not

Then he disappeared into the mist, leaving the forest cold and silent.

Elwin stood alone, his staff dim.

He whispered to the wind, "May the Aethyrii choose the right path."

Beyond the Mortal Forest — The Celestial Court

Far above the world, beyond stars and suns, the Golden Throne of Aurelion glowed bright.

Before it knelt the pale messenger who had frozen time on the football field.

Before him knelt a pale messenger—the same one who had stopped time on the football field.

"My Lord," the messenger said, bowing low. "The Aethyrii live again. The boy has been reborn."

The god's eyes blazed like fire.

"So, the last of their kind walks the earth once more," said Soldarath Aurelion, the Sun Devourer.

Beside him stood his brother, Caelion Aurelion, the Sky Forger, silent but watchful.

"The Aethyrii should have been erased," Soldarath said coldly. "Their power almost broke the heavens."

"And yet one survived," Caelion replied calmly. "Even gods cannot stop destiny."

The messenger lifted his head slightly.

"He is unaware, my lord. He lives as a mortal. His name is Samuel Achodor."

Soldarath's eyes narrowed. "And what of the other one? The sleeping son?"

"He lives as Victor," the messenger answered. "He does not know he carries your blood."

Aurelion's voice burned through the hall.

"When the Aethyrii awakens, the world will shake.

My son will stand against him—or beside him.

Either way… the heavens will be ready."

I hope Virelios does what is right and remember who he is and stop the aethyrii on time

The messenger bowed. "And what of Dominion?"

Aurelion's flames dimmed slightly.

"He waits for something he does not understand.

But the moment will come.

Watch them all.

The storm is coming."

The messenger vanished in a burst of soft light.

And far below, two young men—Samuel Achodor and Victor Ozioma—slept peacefully, not knowing their fates were already written among the stars.
