Chapter 15 - bright morning

Pov : *Morning after eating, when I invited Daniela home and said goodbye* *Lady invited Daniela to accompany the Lord meeting* *Cassandra and Bela Guarding the House*

That morning, the pale spring sunlight pierced through the high windows of the hall, giving Dimitrescu Castle a sense of grandeur as well as melancholy. After a fairly quiet breakfast—although you could feel Bela and Cassandra's different gazes than usual—it was time for you to say goodbye.

You stand next to Daniela, ready to step out towards the train that will take you back to the villa. However, your steps are stopped by Lady Alcina's authoritative baritone voice.

"Wait a minute, Daniela," said Lady Dimitrescu as she adjusted her wide hat. "Mother has just received a message from Mother Miranda. There was a sudden meeting of the Lords at the ritual site. I want you to accompany me, there are a few things about the eastern region that you should learn."

Daniela looked a little disappointed, she looked at you with sad eyes. "But Mom, I have to drive my husband home..."

"Your husband can wait here or rest longer," Lady Alcina cut in with a meaningful smile. "He is safe here. Bela and Cassandra will take care of the house... and take good care of it."

In front of the main gate

Lady Dimitrescu's horse-drawn carriage is ready. Daniela hugged you tightly before getting on the train. "I'm sorry, baby. This is Mom's command. I'll be back soon after the meeting is over. Wait for me here, okay?" He kissed your lips for a long time, as if it was hard to let go.

As soon as the chariot drove away from the castle gates, silence ambushed. You turn around and find Bela and Cassandra standing in front of the big open door.

Their faces no longer showed the coldness they used to be. There was a secret glint in their eyes as they watched their mother's carriage disappear behind the fog.

"So..." Cassandra stepped closer, her fingers playing with the tip of her shiny crescent. "Now there are only the three of us in this vast castle."

Bela smiled faintly, her hand slowly closed the castle's huge door with a heavy thump, locking in the outside world. "Mother told us to take care of you, and we intend to carry out the task very... Be careful."

The Quiet Castle Atmosphere

The castle now feels very different. Without the presence of the domineering Lady and the protective Daniela, the atmosphere turns into a very intimate and intensely stressful affair.

"You must be tired after the trip, aren't you?" asked Bela as she walked in circles around you, the scent of roses smelling strong. "How about we go to the warmer part of the castle? There is a room in the west tower that is very private... The perfect place to talk about the 'plan' we had in mind last night."

Cassandra approached from the other side, whispering something in your ear. "We want to feel what Daniela feels... We want to know what it's like to be yours."

You are now under the full control of your two brothers-in-law who are being overwhelmed by great curiosity.

Me : Sorry Cassandra Daniel. About last night you forced me, *I refused* I had to respect my wife Daniel.. He loves me

The atmosphere in the hall that had been full of temptation instantly turned into silence and tension. Bela and Cassandra were stunned, their steps halted when they heard your firm but sincere refusal. They looked at each other, seemingly surprised because during the hundreds of years of living in this castle, there had never been a "prey" or guest who dared to refuse the wishes of Dimitrescu's daughters.

You took a deep breath, looking at the two of them with a gaze that remained friendly but principled. "Oh, I'm sorry Cassandra, Bela... about last night, you pushed me a little when I was half-conscious," you said quietly. "But now I have to be honest. I have to respect my wife, Daniela. She loves me very much, and I don't want to betray her trust."

Cassandra frowned, her pale face showing a mixture of irritation and confusion. "Respect? Betrayal?" he muttered as he played with his sickle restlessly. "We are brothers, we share everything in this castle. Why are you so stiff, human?"

However, Bela, as the eldest, seemed calmer. He observes the look in your eyes and realizes that your loyalty to Daniela is not out of fear, but out of genuine love. Something very strange, yet for some reason, felt very honorable in his eyes.

"So it seems..." Bela finally spoke up, her voice low and full of understanding. She motioned for Cassandra to put down her weapon. "You have a very upright heart. Daniela didn't choose you wrong. In this world full of betrayals, your loyalty is something that... is rare."

Cassandra let out a long sigh, looking a little disappointed but she respected her brother's decision. "Huh, you're really a weird guy. But... I appreciate your honesty. At least you're not pretending."

In the Living Room

You end up sitting on the living room sofa, but this time the atmosphere is much more relaxed and there is no more pressure of coercive passion. Bela pours you hot tea, while Cassandra sits in the opposite chair, still looking a little sullen but no longer trying to tease you.

"Then, what are we going to do until Daniela comes back?" asked Cassandra as she supported her chin. "Mother will probably be at the Lords' meeting for a long time. Heisenberg and others always have a lot to argue about."

Bela smiled faintly at you. "Don't worry. We won't force you again. Since you're already part of this family, we'll take care of you as an honored brother-in-law."

The atmosphere became much more friendly and respectful.

Me : *I told you about yesterday's incident with Daniel* last night.. Hm it feels like you are full of my energy

Hearing your story, Bela and Cassandra seemed very focused. They sit leaning towards you, listening to every word as if you were reading an ancient book full of life secrets.

"It feels like... You are full of my energy," you said quietly.

Cassandra stared at the fireplace, as if trying to imagine the sensation. "Fully charged..." he muttered. "We usually only feel filled when we drink blood, but that just takes away the hunger. What you're telling sounds like... something that ignites a fire in a cold body."

Bela nodded slowly, she seemed to appreciate the way you shared the experience without having to commit any physical betrayal. "Daniela did look different this morning," Bela said. "He looks more... glowing. Now I understand why. You are not only giving your body, but you are sharing your life energy with it."

The atmosphere in the room became very calm and deep. Your rejection just made this conversation more honest. They no longer see you as an object of curiosity, but rather as a person who brings warmth that they never had.

"You know," Cassandra leaned back in her chair, her voice softening. "Sometimes being immortal feels very lonely. All days feel the same. But hearing your story about how you and Daniela shared that 'energy'... made me realize that there are things that cannot be bought with eternity."

Bela smiled faintly at you. "Thank you for telling me, sister-in-law. At least we now understand why Daniela adores your every step so much. You brought 'life' into this quiet castle."

Waiting for Daniela's Return

You guys continue to chat warmly. You tell you how much Daniela means to you, as they start sharing stories about how they often fight over the best dress or bottle of blood when they were "young".

Suddenly, there was the rumbling sound of horse-drawn carriage wheels in the distance, passing over the castle's suspension bridge.

"It's Mom and Daniela," Bela said while standing. "They're already home."

Me : This is not hunger, you will feel happy, delicious, relaxed, all the burdens are off.

Hearing your in-depth explanation, Bela and Cassandra seemed to be speechless in a thousand languages. They exchanged glances, trying to digest concepts that were very foreign to creatures who knew only bloodlust and orders to kill.

"It's not hunger... Happy, relaxed, and relaxed?" Cassandra repeated your words in an almost whispered voice. It touched his own chest, the place where his heartless beat was. "All the burdens are off... I can't even remember the last time I felt 'light'. Life in this castle has always been about duty, about Mother, and about guarding the territory."

Bela nodded softly, her yellow eyes looking at you with growing awe. "So that's the reason Daniela has never stopped smiling since you were together. He didn't just feel full... he feels at peace."

This very personal conversation makes your bond with your two sisters-in-law very strong. Although you refused to do so with them out of respect for Daniela, your explanation just now gave them "food" for their empty souls.

Daniela's Return

Just when the atmosphere was very calm, the door of the great hall opened with a heavy sound. Lady Dimitrescu stepped in gracefully, followed by Daniela who looked a little tired but her eyes immediately lit up when she saw you sitting safely with her brothers.

"Baby!" exclaimed Daniela, she ran small and rushed into your arms, ignoring the presence of her mother and sisters. "I'm sorry I've been so long! The meeting was so boring, Moreau and Heisenberg kept arguing about unimportant things."

He buried his face in your neck, inhaling your scent as if it was the fresh air he needed.

Lady Dimitrescu took off her long gloves and looked at the three of you with raised eyebrows. "I see you guys didn't kill each other while I'm gone," he said in an elegant joking tone. "Even you guys see... very familiar."

Bela stood up and bowed respectfully to her mother, but she gave you a small, warm glance. "Our sister-in-law is a very good teacher, Mom. He told a lot about... the 'peace' of the human world."
