Chapter 8 - Chapter 65: The Beginning

While Luo Fan was busy training and improving himself, on the Grand Line, Vice Admiral Jaguar D. Saul was on a warship chasing a vessel carrying historians.

"Bulu bulu bulu—clack—Saulo, have you found them?" Sengoku's voice rang out from the other end of the transponder snail.

"Rest assured, Admiral Sengoku, I have already locked onto their position."

"In that case, act quickly and execute them all." After saying this, Sengoku hung Up the phone.

Saulo's plea for mercy got stuck in his throat, while the Marines on the warship were loading cannonballs as usual, firing at the vessel carrying the historians.

Saulo only snapped out of it when the cannonballs hit the historians' ship, shouting at the Marine Soldiers, "Stop the attack! Just capture them! They aren't vicious pirates. Are you all useless trash who can't even catch a group of historians?"

The Marine Soldiers stopped their attack immediately upon hearing this, but it was already too late; the historians' ship had been blown to pieces by the cannonballs.

Saulo looked at the wreckage of the historians' ship and fell into a state of confusion.

He didn't understand why these historians had to die.

While Saulo was pondering this, a Marine Soldier reported that a woman from the ship had survived.

Saulo turned to look at the woman captured by the Marines; her eyes were full of stubbornness and anger.

Saulo couldn't help but ask the woman, "Are you all really searching for history just to awaken the weapons?"

Upon hearing this, the woman began to denounce the Marines' ignorance and stupidity: "Blindly trusting the law and using the awakening of weapons as an excuse... you are all simply afraid of a past you know nothing about."

The woman's words left Saulo even more confused. He ordered the Marine Soldiers to take her into custody and bring her back to Marine Headquarters.

As soon as he returned to Marineford, Saulo couldn't wait to find Sengoku.

Coincidentally, Sengoku also had a classified mission to give him.

When Saulo heard that the so-called classified mission was for him to participate in the 'Buster Call' to annihilate Ohara, he felt doubt about the justice he had always believed in for the first time.

Saulo demanded that Sengoku provide evidence of the historians' crimes, but Sengoku flatly refused.

Sengoku simply told Saulo that this was an order from the World Government and not to question the World Government's decisions.

To seek the truth, Saulo went to the prison to ask the imprisoned Nico Olvia for the truth of the matter.

After learning everything, Saulo felt that in his current state, he could no longer stay in the Marines.

He decided to act according to the justice in his heart.

So, Saulo defied the world, broke Olvia out of prison, and left Marine Headquarters together.

When Sengoku learned of Saulo's actions, he immediately ordered the Marines to pursue him. Because Saulo knew the entire operational plan for Ohara, Sengoku simply ordered the Marine Soldiers to open fire if necessary.

Saulo and Nico Olvia fled along the Grand Line toward Ohara. When their warship was being chased by other warships and passed by Grove 66 of the Sabaody Archipelago, they were spotted by Luo Fan's Cat Corps.

The Cats of the Cat Corps had long since received orders to report everything they saw. Thus, Luo Fan learned about the incident that very night.

One warship fleeing while so many warships pursued, and with the current time being nearly the year 1500 of the concealed era, Luo Fan immediately guessed who was on the warship.

"It seems it's time to leave!" Luo Fan, lying in Noy's arms, murmured to himself.

"Leave? Luo Fan, are you leaving the Sabaody Archipelago?" Noy's pink cat ears twitched as she asked with a face full of shock.

"Yeah! Noy, do you remember what I told you about the Celestial Dragons and the World Government?"

Noy nodded.

"Next, I will take you to witness the darkness of the World Government with your own eyes."

The next day, Luo Fan and Noy bid farewell to Rayleigh and Shakky.

"Leaving at last? Luo Fan, I hope you can always gallop freely across this sea." Rayleigh smiled and offered his blessing.

As for Shakky, she gave Noy a medium-sized ship as a parting gift.

After coming out of the Tavern, Noy summoned Big Cat and Cat Two, temporarily handing over the Cat Corps of the Sabaody Archipelago to them. Big Cat and Cat Two patted their chests, stating that whether the Queen was there or not, the Cat Corps would definitely have no problems.

That night, Luo Fan and Noy left the Sabaody Archipelago on the ship Shakky had given them.

Shakky had prepared enough food and water on the ship, so there was no need to worry about supplies for a while.

Luo Fan lay on the chest of Noy, who had transformed into her cat-girl form, and they rushed toward Ohara following the direction of the Eternal Pose.

On the way to Ohara, Luo Fan and the others encountered a Marine warship. A familiar figure on the warship caught Luo Fan's attention.

This person was tall, wearing sunglasses, a deep blue shirt, a black trench coat, and white trousers, with a lazy expression. It was the current Marine Vice Admiral, Kuzan.

At the same time Luo Fan saw Kuzan, Kuzan also noticed him. The eyes of the man and the cat met in the air.

Kuzan frowned; he felt as if he had seen this black cat somewhere before, but he couldn't recall it for a moment.

Luo Fan didn't want to have a conflict with Kuzan at this time—not because he was afraid of Kuzan.

Using Borsalino from over two years ago as a reference, although the current Luo Fan was not Kuzan's match in terms of raw strength, Luo Fan could fly and had the dillite pistol as a trump card. Against Kuzan, he had at least a thirty percent chance of winning, and failing that, he could still escape smoothly.

But Luo Fan couldn't fight Kuzan now because Noy was with him. Once he fought Kuzan, Noy, who had little ability to protect herself, would be in trouble.

So Luo Fan burrowed into Noy's arms, pretending to look scared.

Kuzan was stunned for a moment when he saw this, then shook his head helplessly and murmured to himself, "It seems my nerves have been too tight lately, to actually find a cat looking familiar."

The two ships passed each other, sailing in different directions.

After the ship was far away, Luo Fan emerged from Noy's arms. Noy asked curiously, "Luo Fan, were you hiding from the person on that warship?"

"Sort of! His name is Kuzan, a Vice Admiral of Marine Headquarters. He ate the Logia Hie Hie no Mi and is a very troublesome guy."

"A Vice Admiral! So powerful. Back when I saw a Marine Rear Admiral in Water 7, I thought they were a high-ranking official. A Vice Admiral is hard to imagine."

Luo Fan smiled and didn't dwell on the issue. He looked in the direction Kuzan's warship was heading and fell into deep thought.

Luo Fan couldn't quite understand why Kuzan was going in the opposite direction of Ohara.

Logically, the Buster Call should already be in preparation. Shouldn't the Vice Admirals selected to participate in the Buster Call all be rushing toward Ohara?

Something happened today. During the lunch break, I went out for lunch and saw a young girl in her early twenties crying there. I leaned in to listen and found out that she had failed the second stage of her driving test. Then I heard she had already failed four times, which couldn't help but remind me of when I took the second stage of my driving test.
