Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Twilight's POV .

I followed Isla till she found her dragon.

Isla found her dragon sitting beside River Lianis.

"Hiii Faenik." She stroked her scales.

They had some weird nods and looks so I guessed they were communicating telepathically.

"Fae, you know what today is right?" She said out loud and her dragon nodded.

She got on her dragon's back and they flew with my calculations a little beyond the kingdom's borders. But the thing here is I was good with trees and I had a little help.

I wasted time but I got there.

"Here lies the body of Isma" the little tomb stone read.

"You had a sibling?" And I stopped mid stroke of the stone.

I noticed how she froze mid stroke. And slowly turned to look at me.

"How did you leave the gates?" Was the first question she asked.

"How any normal person would, I walked out." I shrugged and with the look on her face how did I get here.

"I followed you. I was bored and I felt like exploring and you might be wondering, you were on a dragon how did I keep up? Well out of the blues I gained some kind of speed and I wanted to try it out." I smirked.

"Mind telling me who died?"I pointed to the headstone. She was still staring at me and then she turned to look at her dragon who was surprisingly calm for someone whose rider was sneaked up on.

"I guess you're not so bad. That's my twin sister, Isma." She paused. "She died alongside my parents. I never got to know her but this was the best I could do for her. You might be wondering why not make a headstone for everyone? It's because I don't think anyone would want to fly by or walk by and see graves" she shrugged.

"Now for the important questions, how did you know my agenda?" She turned to me.

"Well I heard some guards talking about today's board meeting and I suspected obviously you'll be there. Sooooo, I followed you after you left the palace and followed you inside when you got to the tree cafe." I sat beside her.

"A lovely dragon you have by the way.""Thank you, her name is Faenik." Was she blushing? I turned to Fae, "For someone whose rider got sneaked up on, you're surprisingly calm." Fae looked at me and looked at Isla.

"She said she knew you were following." Isla looked surprised

"And you didn't care to tell me Fae?" Shock evident on her face.

Fae just turned away.

"She's just dramatic." I turned back to Isla.

"What did you say?"

"I didn't say anything." She replied.

Fae looked back slightly and walked away.

That was odd.

"Now mind telling me how you're going to get back in?"

"Mind telling me about your day General?" I saw that red tint on her cheeks again.

"I guess we still have time. Sure I guess."

"I basically fought with the whole council today." She laughed.

"Care to explain how?"

She nodded and started. Mimicking each person's voice as she went.

"General Isla, we've noticed that a particular degenerate is getting too free in the camp. Do you have any statement on that?" The king inquired.

"Long live the king, I do not have any statement on that because as far as no trouble has been caused I don't see any reason to be ruthless to the inmates. And who is this degenerate you speak of?" I knew quite well who they were speaking off but I wasn't going to risk my job for that.

"You are aware of Twilight Draven." He took a pause. "For years we have had no idea who she was, where she came from and worst of all what she can do. For years she has terrorized the citizens of Aretia without reason and she is without a dragon but is born of dragon blood."

I never questioned the king but for some reason he was too bothered about this "degenerate" and then the reason he was this bothered spoke up.

"Father, I've seen twilight roam around the library's at odd hours. Without guards or

anything, meaning that she sneaks out of her cell, meaning she found a way to knock out the guard, lock-pick her cell and roam free at night. She is more of a threat than we think." Jamesspoke out. At this point we shouldn't even be having board meetings again, father and son should get a room.

"If you say she's so much of a threat why not wait till the two Dragons Day before you act or anything. Or permit me, is this a situation of being scared of the kind of power she'll own?"

Nolan casually called out. He never really cared about power, I sincerely don't know how he got up here.

"That's not it. If she gets a dragon and is somehow over powerful we will recruit her to fight for the kingdom. It's as simple as that, but she looks like the kind to lead a rebellion and that's the least thing we need right now." James replied.

We heard a rustle amongst the leaves and we both paused.
