Resolution
Mary's sister didn't understand it.
Even though she was clearly unstable, she still understood combat well, and in Spirit based combat, especially those who used the same attribute, the things that mattered the most were output, control, and authority.
The last one especially. As no matter what, if one side was unable to properly control their attribute in front of their opponent, they were bound to lose eventually.
And she had to admit, Mary's authority was much more potent than the last time they met, so much so that she actually found it hard to seize it from her. And in a few instances during the fight, Mary had actually shown some superiority on that front. But it wasn't so extreme that the sister couldn't work around it.
Hence, she only used just enough authority to ensure that her magic wouldn't be turned against her, and she turned to another aspect where she was definitely superior to Mary, and that was output.
