It was a rainy night when Emma decided to explore the old house at the end of Willow Street. Everyone in town whispered about strange sounds and moving shadows inside after sunset.
She pushed the creaking door open. A cold breeze hit her face. The hall was dark, and the smell of damp wood filled the air.
Suddenly, a faint whisper echoed:
"Emma… come closer…"
Her heart pounded. The voice came again, this time from upstairs. Gathering courage, she climbed the staircase. Every step echoed like a scream in the silent house.
At the top, she saw a shadow flicker across the wall. She stepped back, but the whisper grew louder:
"Don't leave… stay forever…"
She wanted to run, but the staircase behind her seemed to vanish. The hall stretched endlessly. Panic set in—she realized she might not leave this house alive.
