When I peered out at the battlefield, I could see nothing but blood — my enemies' and my friends' blood. There was only one enemy remaining, and he was going to kill someone. When I glanced at the person who was to be killed, I recognized that they were my best friend.
"No!" I yelled.
That moment certainly commanded his sole attention. He rapidly completed whatever he was doing to my friend and then at once focused his attention upon me, pursuing me with a crazed desperation. I was completely immobilized, stunned with shock after having just witnessed the horrific thing that had just happened right before my eyes. A massive burst of rage began building up within me, growing by the second. I knew that I was standing at the threshold of death itself, yet despite that grim reality, I could assure one irrefutable fact — this was definitely not going to be the end of my story.
