Chapter 405: Kitahara Iori: "Father! Happy New Year! How About Giving Me a Divine Core?!"
....
"???"
"Whose voice is that?!"
"Space God-King? I've never heard of that name before!"
"Could it be that mysterious God-King from earlier?! Dammit! Just a late-stage God-King! This guy is... literally looking for death!"
"Wait! Let's hold on and watch how things unfold first!"
"Agreed!"
"..."
Hearing the echoing roar of Clone No. 1, the resident God-Kings scattered across the Central Region immediately broke into loud discussions. However, not a single one moved to attack right away.
After all, just a short while ago, they had ordered their subordinate deities to step out, only for every last one of them to be wiped out on the spot!
Meanwhile, floating high in the sky, the six shadow clones waited quietly.
After about ten minutes passed without a single enemy showing up, Clone No. 2 rested his chin in his hand. "These guys are way too cowardly. Should we add a little extra spice to wake them up?"
Clone No. 3 grinned mischievousness: "Sounds great! Let's just directly tell them we were the ones hunting their gods!"
Clone No. 4 hesitated: "What if they don't buy it? If we're that direct, they might think it's a trap."
The clones fell silent for a second. They wanted to rub the truth right in their faces, but what if these God-Kings still refused to step out? Plenty of these divine beings were absolute cowards!
"I've got an idea!" Clone No. 5's eyes flashed with a brilliant light as a mischievous smile broke across his face.
"Oh? Spill it!" Clone No. 6 urged, and the rest of the clones turned their eyes toward him.
Clone No. 5 cleared his throat, raised his voice, and roared across the region: "Are all of you God-Kings complete garbage?! You can't even compare to the Weapon God-King, who was merely at the middle stage of the God-King Realm!"
"Even though the Weapon God-King fell by my hand, his courage to stand and face me is something you useless cowards could never hope to match! What a bunch of useless trash!"
The second those words left his mouth, the other clones immediately understood his genius plan. He was using a roundabout insult to reveal that the Weapon God-King had been killed by them—while simultaneously mocking the rest of the God-Kings by holding a dead man above them!
The moment the declaration echoed across the skies, the resident God-Kings snapped!
"Dammit! It's him! The Space God-King is the one who murdered our gods!"
"Screw this! I can't take this disrespect anymore! I'm going in first!"
"Fellow comrades! If we don't strike now, when will we ever?! Forward!"
"Count me in!"
"Same here!"
"Me too!"
"..."
The God-Kings were completely enraged. Hearing that the Weapon God-King was slain by the Space God-King was indirect proof that their subordinate deities had also fallen to the exact same person. To make matters worse, Clone No. 5 had openly called them all useless trash. They couldn't swallow this humiliation any longer!
BOOM!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!!
In an instant, countless divine sanctuaries opened up!
The overwhelming aura of dozens of God-Kings taking the field simultaneously sent shockwaves ripping across the Eastern, Western, Southern, and Northern sectors. Deities from all directions turned their gazes toward the Central Region, watching as a massive tide of divine beings charged straight toward the six shadow clones.
A grand, world-shaking battle officially kicked off!
Time flew by quickly, arriving at the next morning.
Right now, Seito was sitting around the table with the girls, enjoying a warm bowl of fresh New Year dumplings.
Suddenly...!
A massive surge of memories flooded directly into his sea of consciousness, making Seito freeze on the spot.
"What's wrong?" Asuna Yuuki noticed his sudden pause and asked with genuine concern.
"It's nothing," Seito replied, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly.
The memory stream that had just synced into his mind belonged to his six shadow clones out in the God-King Star Sector. He really hadn't expected those clones to act so recklessly—openly taunting every single God-King in the Central Region and dragging a massive army of divine powerhouses into an all-out war.
The end result of that chaotic brawl was glaringly obvious: the enemy God-Kings had suffered massive losses! After all, the only things destroyed on Seito's side were temporary shadow clone bodies!
Not bad at all, Seito thought, a satisfied grin curving on his lips.
Even though those clones were completely wild, overall, the payout was fantastic!

Because his clones had wiped out a substantial number of enemy God-Kings before dissipating, his divine power reserves had skyrocketed by six hundred million! His energy pool, which had previously been drained empty after his breakthrough, was completely replenished.
Closing his panel, Seito casually continued eating his breakfast.
Knock, knock, knock~
Right at that moment, a sudden knock sounded at the front door. Everyone enjoying their meal paused in surprise.
"I'll get it," Seito stood up, walked over to the entryway, turned the handle, and pulled the door open.
"Jiejiejie...! Big Bro! I have arrived!"
Standing outside was Kitahara Iori, wearing an absurdly wild, shameless grin right on his face.
Looking at that face, Seito's lips twitched violently. Dammit! What a nightmare! He didn't even know what to say. Sora and the Yukinoshita sisters hadn't even dropped by yet, and this shameless guy had actually rushed over at six-thirty in the morning!
"You showed up way too early," Seito said, completely speechless.
"It's not early at all!" Kitahara Iori chuckled heartily. "Come on, let's head inside!"
"Yeah, yeah." Seito nodded helplessly, turning around to walk back toward the living room.
Kitahara Iori stepped through the door, and the moment his eyes caught the group still enjoying breakfast at the long table, his eyes lit up with a brilliant light.
"Seito, do you have an extra bowl and set of chopsticks?"
"You haven't eaten yet?" Seito froze, turning back to look at him.
Unbelievable! This guy actually rushed over without even eating breakfast at home first? What a shameless parasite!
"If you want to eat, go grab a bowl from the kitchen yourself," Seito muttered, returning to his seat at the table.
Kitahara Iori nodded enthusiastically and rushed straight into the kitchen without a second thought.
By seven in the morning, Seito and the others had finished their breakfast and were lounging on the sofas, chatting comfortably.
Suddenly!
Kitahara Iori walked out of the kitchen, strolling over to stand right in front of Seito with a bright, suspicious smile.
Everyone turned to look at him, keeping silent.
In the very next microsecond!
Kitahara Iori dropped straight to his knees, slamming his forehead onto the floor in a massive, formal New Year's kowtow right before Seito.
"Father! Happy New Year! How about giving me a Divine Core?!"
Seito: "..."
Everyone else: "..."
Kitahara Iori's sudden move completely stunned everyone in the room. Holy crap! You're asking for a New Year red envelope, but you're specifically demanding a god-tier item?!
Seito's eyelid twitched violently. With a flick of his wrist, he tossed a glowing Divine Core straight at him.
"Here, take it. From today on, you're officially part of Sora's divine faction."
"Awesome! Thank you, Father!" Kitahara Iori held the Divine Core in his hands, grinning like an absolute maniac.
....
Thank you for reading.
