Chapter 1: The Hidden Map

Lila's fingers trembled as she reached for the dusty book on the top shelf of the old library. The place smelled of parchment and mystery, with sunlight streaming through stained-glass windows that made the air sparkle. She had always loved the forgotten corners of libraries, where secrets waited to be discovered.

"Careful, Lila! That shelf looks like it hasn't been touched in a hundred years," Finn whispered, tiptoeing behind her.

"I've got it," Lila said confidently. She tugged the book free—and a small, rolled-up parchment tumbled to the floor.

Arin caught it mid-air. "What is it?" he asked, eyes wide.

Lila unrolled it carefully. The parchment shimmered, revealing a map of islands floating in the sky—clouds swirling around them like sea waves, glowing rivers of light, and strange symbols she couldn't read.

"It's… magical," Milo breathed. "I've seen maps before, but never like this."

Sera leaned closer, her eyes glowing faintly. "I can feel it… this map wants to be found."

Before anyone could speak, a low rumble shook the library. Books fell from shelves as if the building itself were warning them. The map pulsed brighter, then a tiny golden light shot out, pointing toward the window. Outside, clouds parted to reveal an enormous floating island hovering above their town, glimmering like a jewel.

Finn whistled. "Looks like an adventure's calling."

Arin grinned. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!"

And so, the five friends set off toward the first floating island, unaware that Lord Umbra's shadow had already fallen over their path.
