Emma Williams stared at the contract on the table, her hands trembling slightly.
"Sign it," the man sitting across from her said coldly.
Alexander Blackwood, the CEO of Blackwood Enterprises, was known for two things—his ruthless business mind and his icy personality. No one had ever seen him smile.
Emma swallowed nervously. "You want me to marry you… for a year?"
"It's a business arrangement," Alexander replied calmly. "You get the money you need to save your family, and I get a wife to satisfy my grandfather's last wish."
Emma's heart pounded in her chest. This was insane. Marrying a stranger—especially a man as powerful and cold as Alexander—could destroy her life.
But she had no choice.
