Chapter 5 - Domain

Romania, Tepes Castle.

A chained man was forced to his knees in front of the king.

"Marius, I still can't believe you actually caught a noble devil. His blood must taste incredible," said the 4th Tepes.

Marius bowed slightly: "It was a surprise for you, Father. I hope you like the gift."

I smiled and looked straight at the king: "King Tepes, pleasure to meet you. I'm Cassien Judex."

The king waved a lazy hand: "Yes, yes, very fancy surname. Definitely a noble devil."

"Want to know what I do for a living? You don't have to answer," I said.

The man in the tailored suit eyed me: "Office worker? Or maybe you run some big trade empire?"

"Nope. I'm a lawyer."

The king's brows furrowed.

Even the guards looked thrown off by my attitude.

He spat on the floor: "So that's it? Just some lowly lawyer? Your blood's probably worthless."

"Ah, but today…" I said, letting the words hang for a second, "…I'm the judge."

The king's face twisted: "What the hell are you talking about?"

"Domain Expansion: Deathly Sentence!"

A pitch-black shikigami erupted from me, and in an instant, the entire room was pulled into a courtroom.

A gavel materialized in my hand.

I looked at the kin: "This is my clan's special trait."

He swung a furious punch at my face—only to be instantly returned to his seat as nothing happened.

"Violence is prohibited here."

"Let me go, you bastard!!"

The guards were forced into their chairs, able to do nothing but watch.

Marius, meanwhile, was smiling like he'd won the lottery.

I'd already told him: I kill the king, I get Valerie.

I loosened my tie just a fraction. "You've got three options: stay silent, object, or accept the verdict."

"4th King of Tepes, accused of harassing minors on multiple occasions," Judgeman's voice declared flatly.

The vampires around us started whispering, gossip spreading like wildfire.

I pointed behind me at the towering shikigami. "Judgeman provides me with absolute proof. Don't worry—I don't actually have that information myself. The trial depends entirely on how you respond."

The Tepes king slammed his fist on the stand. "I didn't do it! I object!"

"The defendant denies the charges. You may present your defense, King Tepes. But keep in mind… Judgeman already knows everything."

The king's face flushed crimson.

His fangs extended.

He lunged at me again—only to be slammed back into place like before.

Marius stood in the corner, arms crossed, clearly enjoying the show.

The king was panting now. "I… I'm a king! Noble blood! Touching children… I would never! Show me proof! Show it!"

Judgeman's cold, mechanical voice echoed through the domain: "Evidence has been presented. 4th King Tepes stands accused of repeatedly harassing young noble girls in the past. Witness testimonies, hidden letters, even the terrified memories of the servants in your own palace… All of it is here."

I raised a file.

Copies appeared in everyone's hands.

The moment they read it, the way they looked at the king turned downright disgusted.

"YOU BASTARD!! YOU RAPED MY DAUGHTER! THAT'S WHY SHE KILLED HERSELF!" one of the guards screamed, tears streaming down his face.

Even Marius looked stunned.

Shouts erupted everywhere.

The king panicked, trying to stand, but invisible chains held him down: "No… no! This is a demonic trick! I'm innocent!"

Judgeman tilted the scales.

One side dropped heavily.

Verdict: Guilty.

The gavel struck.

"Confiscation."

A surge of energy rushed into me.

Every single ability, bloodline advantage, clan trait, physical strength—everything the king had—flowed straight into my body.

I smiled.

Right now, he was no different from a normal human: "You can request a retrial, Your Majesty… but the charges will only get heavier."

"RETRIAL! I DEMAND A RETRIAL!"

Just as one of the guards was about to lunge at the king, the domain flickered and reopened.

The attacking guard was forced back into his seat. He tried to stand again—couldn't move an inch.

Marius shouted, furious now. "We could've just killed him! Cancel the ability!"

I banged the gavel: "We are having a retrial. Everyone, remain silent."

This time, no one dared speak.

Judgeman's voice rang out again.

And the things it started saying this time…
