Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Map in the Attic

Lila always thought her grandmother's attic was full of boring old junk.. until she discovers a leather-bound book tucked beneath an old, dusty trunk. It had a map that glowed softly in the moonlight. Weird runes pulsed as though they had a heartbeat. A soft whisper tickled her ears: "Find me… if you dare." That night, her heart racing, she slipped out of the village and into the woods that had frightened off everyone in her town.
