Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Shit, Where the Hell did the System go?

At Karakura Elementary School, the moment Tsuna walked into the classroom as a transfer student and saw that familiar classmate with bright orange hair, he completely lost control of his expression.

There was no way he could fail to recognize that face.

Ichigo Kurosaki! Karakura Town!

So that meant he hadn't transmigrated into the world of Katekyo Hitman Reborn! at all—

He'd transmigrated into the world of Bleach.

And considering that he had been watching Bleach right before he crossed over, ending up in the Bleach universe did sound reasonable enough—

Nah damn.

This was the world of Bleach.

In Reborn!, as long as you lived your life properly and stayed out of mafia affairs, you could generally survive in peace.

But in the world of Bleach, there were Hollows—monsters wearing white masks. At any moment, he could end up becoming prey for one of those things.

And on top of that, Tsunayoshi was living in Karakura Town, one of the rare Jūreichi—a place of abnormally high spiritual density—in the Bleach universe. Which meant all kinds of bizarre and dangerous phenomena were bound to happen here.

This was supposed to be the script where he rose to become some aura farming mafia. All he had needed to do was steadily grow into the role, and one day taking the boss's seat would be within easy reach.

Instead, it had turned into a world where people fought monsters.

And the worst part was that these monsters weren't even visible to ordinary people.

No, the truly most dangerous thing in this world wasn't even the Hollows.

It was the man known as the progenitor of the Quincy, the one obsessed with destroying the world and returning the Three Realms to their so-called original state.

In the world of Reborn!, if you weren't strong enough, the worst that usually happened was that you got beaten.

In the world of Bleach, if you lacked strength and ran into a Hollow—

you would actually die.

Tsunayoshi no longer had any interest in listening to the teacher introduce him as the new transfer student.

His mind was already racing with one thought:

How was he supposed to persuade his dad to leave Karakura Town?

Anywhere was fine.

As long as it wasn't Karakura Town, the rest could be left to Ichigo Kurosaki, the child of luck, to deal with.

But that branch president position was something his father had earned through years of hard work.

If he asked him to give it up now… wasn't that a bit too cruel?

Lost in thought, Tsuna's body automatically followed the teacher's instructions and walked toward the empty seat at the back of the classroom.

By some absurd twist of fate, the seat next to his belonged to none other than the protagonist of Bleach—

Ichigo Kurosaki.

At this age, Ichigo was practically like a little sun.

The moment he saw Tsuna, he smiled brightly and held out his hand.

"Hi, I'm Ichigo Kurosaki. Nice to meet you."

"Oh. Hi." Tsuna snapped out of it and shook his hand. "I'm Sawada Tsunayoshi."

"I know. The teacher just introduced—"

Tsunayoshi had already stopped paying attention to what Ichigo was saying.

Because a voice had suddenly sounded in his mind.

[Detected a character from the Bleach world…]

[Copying character talent…]

[Talent copy complete…]

[Converting talent ability…]

[Talent ability has been converted into origin power…]

[Talent conversion complete. Have a pleasant journey. Sayonara!]

Tears welled in Tsunayoshi's eyes.

How many years had it been?

He had dreamed more than once that after getting isekai'd, he'd get some kind of cheat ability. But that "cheat" had never appeared. He couldn't even ignite Dying Will Flames like in the original Reborn! story.

That was why the moment he saw Ichigo, his first instinct had been to think about running away.

But now—

his cheat had finally arrived.

Ichigo Kurosaki's talent?

In the world of Bleach, Ichigo was the one who possessed the greatest mix of powers.

There was no question how absurdly strong his talent was.

"Alright, Ichigo! Why are you holding the new student's hand for so long?"

A clear female voice rang out by his ear.

The next second, the girl forcibly separated Tsuna and Ichigo's clasped hands, then naturally took Tsuna's hand in hers instead.

"Hi, I'm Tatsuki Arisawa. Nice to meet you."

She was a slightly tomboyish girl, very cute, with short, neat hair that made her look refreshingly sharp and capable.

"Tatsuki, that's not what I—"

Ichigo tried to explain, only to be cut off.

"Alright, class is starting."

Tsunayoshi sat down in his seat.

Ichigo was beside him, and in front of him sat the girl named Tatsuki Arisawa.

Tatsuki Arisawa…

Tsuna remembered now.

She was one of Ichigo's childhood friends. The two of them had known each other since they were little and had always been close. It was only after Masaki Kurosaki's death that Ichigo gradually became withdrawn, creating distance between them.

Even so, they remained classmates and close friends all the way into high school.

The moment Masaki came to mind, Tsunayoshi's thoughts immediately raced through the Bleach plot.

No matter how he thought about it, the timeline he had painstakingly sorted out for the world of Reborn! was completely useless here.

Masaki died because of Yhwach's Auswählen. As a Quincy, Masaki had all her powers taken back by the Quincy King through Auswählen. Then, because she encountered a Hollow in that weakened state, she died.

In Bleach, Ichigo became a Substitute Shinigami while in high school.

Three years later came the Thousand-Year Blood War.

According to the Quincy rhyme, the defeated Quincy King would take 900 years to recover his heartbeat, 90 years to recover his mind, and 9 years to recover his power…

By that logic, the timing of Yhwach's Auswählen should be six years before the start of the main story—when Ichigo was in the third grade.

And right now, Ichigo had only just entered second grade.

Which meant that in one more year…

Ichigo was going to lose his mother.

Thinking of that, Tsunayoshi frantically began calling for the system in his mind.

But no matter how many times he called, the system gave no response.

Only a translucent interface floated before his eyes.

There were just five columns on the system panel.

The first was his name: Sawada Tsunayoshi.

The second was Soul Reaper.

The third was Hollow.

The fourth was Quincy.

The fifth was Fullbring.

But everything behind columns two through five was darkened out, as though it had been wiped away.

One piece of bad news, and one piece of good news.

The bad news was that the system seemed to have vanished. Even when Tsuna secretly tried calling for it in the restroom during break, nothing happened.

The good news was that before disappearing, the system had copied the strongest talent in the Bleach world for him.

He possessed aptitude for all four powers:

Soul Reaper, Hollow, Quincy, and Fullbring.

Looking at his talent interface, Tsuna glanced at Tatsuki Arisawa sitting in front of him.

If he remembered correctly, the system had copied the talent of the first Bleach-world character he encountered.

If the first person to shake his hand today had been Tatsuki Arisawa instead, then wouldn't the system have copied her talent instead?

Tatsuki's talent wasn't bad, exactly.

Later in the story, under Ichigo's influence, she was able to see souls and Soul Reapers too.

But by the late stages of Bleach, Tatsuki had long since faded out of the spotlight.

While he was lost in those thoughts, the school day quickly came to an end.

"Huh? Why did Sawada run off so fast?" Tatsuki asked as she watched Tsuna dart away. "Ichigo, where are you going after school? Want to practice karate together?"

Tatsuki had originally wanted to get to know the new classmate better.

Instead, the moment school ended, Tsuna bolted.

So now she could only invite Ichigo to hang out.

Her family ran a karate dojo, and because of that, Ichigo had taken quite a few beatings from her over the years.

This time was no exception.

Ichigo, who hadn't yet grown aloof, still found it easy to agree to other people's invitations.

If nothing unexpected happened, he was probably about to get beaten up by Tatsuki again.

Tsunayoshi hurried home as fast as he could, doing his best not to look around too much along the way.

His heart was pounding with anxiety.

He didn't even greet his mother before shutting himself up in his room.

After giving her a simple excuse and sending her away, Tsunayoshi forcibly calmed himself down and replayed the scenes from his trip home.

Just on the way back alone, he had seen three wandering souls drifting through the streets.

That had scared the hell out of him.

As someone who had firmly believed in materialism in his previous life, it had nearly shattered his nerves.

It was only because this was the world of Bleach that he managed to steady himself again.

Only then did Tsuna finally regain the composure to study his talent panel properly.

Back at school, he had already begun thinking about his path forward.

According to the system interface, he had talent for four kinds of power, meaning he could choose any one of them to train.

But in reality, the options available to him were actually rather limited.

Whether it was Soul Reaper training or Quincy training, both required someone to guide you at the beginning.

Tsuna did not believe those seasoned veterans would trust some little kid claiming he had the talent to learn.

And with no trump card of his own, he had no intention of bargaining with wolves.

Of the two remaining powers, Hollow power was notoriously unstable in the original story. If he rashly experimented with it without help, he might end up losing his life.

Which left only one option.

Fullbring.

Tsunayoshi vaguely remembered that Fullbring was the power to draw out the souls within matter. By controlling matter through Fullbring, one could use nearby objects as mediums and unleash abilities beyond normal physical limits.

Fullbring was a power born of love.

Only by drawing out the soul of an object one deeply cherished, controlling it, and changing its form, could one complete one's own Fullbring.

Judging by the fact that he could already see souls, Tsuna clearly possessed a certain level of Reiryoku.

He poured himself a glass of water and tried to imitate the way Kūgo Ginjō had taught Ichigo—using reishi to control the soul within the water.

Holding the cup in both hands, Tsuna saw tiny specks of light flow from his hands into the cup.

Those should be Reishi.

It didn't seem too hard.

He tried rotating those Reishi, using them as a bridge to turn that unfamiliar force inside the water—

the soul of the water itself.

Gradually, the water in the cup began to spiral.

Tsuna had succeeded.

He had already grasped the knack of Fullbring.

Resting his head on the desk, Tsuna stared at the rotating water.

He understood that the water in that cup definitely wasn't an object he loved.

So what was?

A silver necklace slipped down with his movement, and a ring fell in front of him.

It was the Sky Ring he had always kept as a memento.

If he had to name something he truly cherished, then this Sky Ring—which he carried with him everywhere, definitely qualified.

Tsuna clenched the Sky Ring in his palm and used the same method he had used on the water, trying to guide the soul within the ring.

Deep down, he couldn't help feeling excited.

In the world of Reborn!, this ring had been nothing more than an ordinary replica.

But this was the world of Bleach.

And the power of Fullbring could draw out the soul residing inside an object—

granting Sawada Tsunayoshi a power that belonged to him alone.

Ignite, Dying Will Flame!
