The autumn sky has been gloomy since morning. Nilima is sitting by the window of her room. The Krushnachura tree, pressed against the window grill, is swaying restlessly in the wind. Nilima has a cup of steaming tea in her hand, but the warmth of the tea cannot pierce the coldness in her heart.
