Isabelle was sitting quietly in the library, reviewing her notes, when an urgent announcement appeared on the university screens:
"Students of the Humanities Department, please proceed immediately to the main lecture hall for an important announcement from the administration."
Isabelle's heart skipped a beat as curiosity surged through her. When she arrived, the hall was packed with students, and there stood Isak in the front row, wearing a serious expression she had never seen before.
The dean began speaking: "Today, we are announcing an international student exchange program. There is only one opportunity per department, and your department's selected student will participate in a unique program abroad for a full year."
Isabelle froze, her eyes widening, then turned to look at Isak. His gaze met hers, full of a strange mix of surprise, excitement, and nervousness.
"Th-this is me!" Isak whispered, as the students around them began applauding enthusiastically.
A sudden shock surged through Isabelle's heart. Their admiration from afar was no longer enough; this event had the power to completely change their university lives. The thought of being apart for an entire year made her heart race, yet she also felt a strong desire to support him no matter the distance.
Amidst the noise of the hall, their eyes met, and he gave her a shy smile, as if silently saying: "We'll get through this together."
This shock marked the beginning of a new chapter in their lives—a chapter that would require courage, deeper love, and decisions that could change everything.
