Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 – The Calm Before the Wrong Move

Ten of the most famous actors in the world were lying comfortably on sofas, sleeping like tired children after a long day of work.

Suriya sat quietly on one of the sofas, her legs crossed, her back perfectly straight, her eyes closed in deep meditation.

Not a single one of them showed even the smallest sign of concern.

The superior slowly turned away from the screens and looked at the hundreds of officers in the room.

His voice was calm, but there was clear frustration behind it.

"Does anyone have any suggestions?"

No one answered.

The room became completely silent.

Many officers glanced at each other.

Some lowered their eyes.

Others continued staring at their tablets, pretending to review data that had already been checked several times.

Seconds passed.

Then a full minute.

But still…

No one spoke.

The superior folded his arms and looked around the room again.

The silence itself was becoming uncomfortable.

Because every department had already tried something.

Cyber security had failed to access their phones.

Surveillance teams had failed to access their villa security.

Data analysts had failed to find their past records.

Even the person who leaked the scandal had completely disappeared without leaving any trace.

For the first time since the investigation began, the entire room felt stuck.

Finally, one senior officer cleared his throat quietly.

"Sir…"

The superior looked toward him.

"Yes?"

The officer spoke slowly, choosing his words carefully.

"At the moment… we cannot extract information from their devices."

"That is correct."

"And we cannot find useful clues from their past records."

The superior nodded again.

"So what are you suggesting?"

The officer looked toward the large screen showing the sleeping group.

"For now… perhaps we should continue observation."

"Observation?"

"Yes, sir."

He pointed at the screen.

"Their behavior is extremely unusual."

"But unusual behavior sometimes reveals patterns."

Another officer added quietly,

"They appear calm now…"

"But people often make mistakes when they believe no one is watching."

The superior looked thoughtful.

Another young analyst slowly spoke up from the back of the room.

"Sir… we could also monitor their interactions when they wake up."

"What kind of interactions?" the superior asked.

"Who they talk to first."

"What they discuss."

"How they react to the delay."

The superior looked back at the screen again.

One of the sleeping actors shifted slightly and turned onto his side, hugging the pillow more comfortably.

Another softly snored.

The superior stared at them for a few seconds.

Then he quietly muttered to himself,

"I have never seen suspects this relaxed during an investigation."

Around the room, several officers nodded silently.

Because it was true.

Usually people under investigation showed anxiety.

Fear.

Or at least curiosity.

But these eleven…

Looked as if they were simply taking a break during work.

The superior finally spoke again.

"Fine."

"For now, continue monitoring."

"No interference."

"No interaction."

"Just watch."

The room returned to quiet activity as officers resumed their positions at the monitoring stations.

The investigation had not progressed.

But the observation had become even more intense.

Because now everyone in the room wanted to know the same thing.

How could eleven people remain this calm…

when the entire world was watching them?

Inside the private control room of the twins, the massive screens continued displaying the live feeds from the government observation hall and the waiting room.

Long Jinhai leaned forward slightly in his chair, watching the officers discussing their next steps.

His expression was no longer amused.

"What are they thinking?" he said quietly.

Beside him, Long Jinmei crossed her arms while staring at the same screen.

"If they just run the test, they'll get their results," she replied.

"Why are they wasting time with all this nonsense?"

For a moment, only the soft hum of the control systems filled the room.

Then Baby's calm voice spoke.

"They are no longer focused on the scandal."

Both twins looked toward the central display.

"They want to understand something else now," Baby continued.

"What?" Jinhai asked.

"They want to know who your children are."

Several screens zoomed slightly into the government meeting room where officers were still discussing strategy.

Baby continued explaining in its calm analytical tone.

"They cannot hack your children's devices."

"They cannot access your villa surveillance."

"They cannot trace the person who exposed the scandal."

"So their focus has changed."

Jinmei's eyes narrowed slightly.

"What are they planning?"

Baby responded immediately.

"Some of the junior officers are suggesting a different approach."

Jinhai looked at the screen again.

"What approach?"

Baby paused for a brief moment before answering.

"They want to physically access one of the phones."

The room became slightly quieter.

Jinmei's expression turned colder.

"Whose phone?"

"Suriya's."

Jinhai leaned back slowly in his chair.

"That's a bad idea."

Baby replied calmly.

"Yes."

The AI's tone remained completely neutral.

"If anyone touches her phone, the protection system will activate automatically."

Jinmei raised an eyebrow.

"What will happen?"

Baby explained without emotion.

"The system will immediately extract all hidden data from that person's device."

"Private images."

"Personal videos."

"Confidential files."

"Hidden communications."

"All of it."

Jinhai smiled faintly.

"And then?"

Baby continued.

"If the intrusion continues, the system will automatically upload those files to the accounts currently logged into their device."

Jinmei immediately understood what that meant.

Social media.

Private cloud storage.

Personal messaging platforms.

Baby finished the explanation.

"In other words… their secrets will expose themselves."

Jinhai slowly shook his head.

"They really shouldn't touch that phone."

Across the screens, the government officers were still debating possible strategies.

But none of them had any idea what kind of defense system they were about to trigger if they made the wrong move.

Jinmei leaned back and quietly muttered,

"Let's see how smart they really are."

Inside the government observation hall, the discussion continued in low, tense voices.

Most officers were still staring at the screens, trying to find some pattern in the behavior of the eleven people resting in the waiting room.

After several minutes of silence, one young officer slowly stood up.

She walked carefully toward the superior officer.

"Sir…"

The superior looked at her.

"Yes?"
