Synopsis
Ryan Ashburn was born into a noble family, but he was excluded and neglected, and eventually abandoned and expelled by his family. However, he managed to join the Imperial Academy in an attempt to prove himself to a family that rejected him. But fate had another opinion. Who am I, where am I... I barely know anything about this body, and why Ryan Ashburn's name sounds like one of the main villains in that bad game I used to play in high school. Not only that, but the name of the academy itself is. Academy in that game! Damn, I'm in that fucking game.

Chapter 1 - The rogue system and roulette

Further evidence of survival in a disaster world

The novel begins in the dormitories of the Imperial Academy.

In one of the rooms, we see a person waking up with a look of astonishment and confusion on his face, looking around and the signs of shock on his face increasing.

Where am I? What is this place? And who am I? He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself and remember his last actions. Damn it, I don't remember anything I was doing. Damn it, my memory is all jumbled up. The last thing I remember is a place that looked... like a train!?

Why is the last thing I remember a train?!

"Okay, that's strange. After that, he stopped asking questions for a moment and took note of the rooms he was in."

What is this place? Am I... have I been kidnapped?

"No, no kidnapper would ever let his victim go free... or put her in rooms like these. I mean, what kidnapper would own a room this luxurious and elegant, looking like it's from the Middle Ages, with gold decorations on the walls and furniture that look like they're plated in gold?" After these words, he was stunned, and before he could speak, he noticed their reflection on

The mirror in the room was moving, and he noticed that his reflection was moving just as he had before the panic attack. He calmed himself and tried to organize his thoughts.

"Damn it... the situation is getting weirder. I wake up in a place I don't recognize and I talk in a strange way as if I'm having a hallucination or a mental problem, and... my reflection looks... smaller, and... better looking than I do. I mean, its previous appearance was above average, but now it looks better."

"And my hair is white...and why am I so calm? I mean, anyone who finds themselves in a strange place with a huge difference in their face and body, and a foggy memory and can't remember their name, the first thing they would do is shout, 'Either I look calm, not to the point of being numb, but very calm.'"

But before he could finish his thought, someone knocked on the door.

Then, from behind the door, he addressed him, saying, "Student Ryan Ashburn, I'm the Head of Student Housing Services. Please wake up and prepare to vacate the residence. You have a maximum of three hours to make your arrangements. We will welcome you." The Head of Services was silent outside, then continued, "To your new residence." Before Ryan could reply, the owner of the voice left the hallway.

"Great, there's another problem, but I've come up with some important information, like my name is Ryan... Ryan Ashburn isn't a cliché. Now I have something more important than this little bit of information. It seems I've been reincarnated. I don't know how, although I don't remember dying or any event that threatened my life. But let's focus now on what's most important. The indispensable feature of reincarnation is order... Don't ask me how I know this, reincarnation and order are obvious, they're often inseparable..." Ryan stopped talking and noticed that he was speaking as if he were addressing someone.

"Damn... Is this the effect of reincarnation, or does the body's owner have some kind of psychological issues and seem to be starting to be affected by them?" Ryan calmed himself and focused on the system. He would then try to find a solution for whatever psychological problem this body represented for him. "The important thing is how to summon the system. Let's start... State... System... Activation... Anything... Cheat Code... Goldfinger... Damn it!" Before Ryan could finish his thoughts, a blue screen appeared in front of him. Before he could feel happy, he read the words that appeared on the screen: "Excuse me, but have you finished with your derealization disorder? I have more important things to do than watch you embarrass yourself further." As soon as Ryan read the screen, he felt embarrassed and asked the system, "How long have you been monitoring?" The system was silent, then...

"Since you were talking so enthusiastically about reincarnation," the system replied, and Ryan became even more embarrassed. Before he could speak, the system continued, "Well, before you ask why I didn't show up earlier... well, you looked like you had some serious mental issues. I wanted to wait until you calmed down, even though you'll say you're very calm and trying to compose yourself. You should look at your face. You look like someone who just got out of a mental hospital and is planning to kill the first person they see on the street." Ryan's embarrassment deepened, and he felt a surge of annoyance. Then he said, "Well, whatever happened doesn't matter. What matters now is that my cheat code has a system. What are my features..." Before Ryan could finish his sentence, the system burst into laughter. Ryan was stunned, and before he could ask anything, the system spoke up. "Hahahaha, your cheat code, huh? You bastard, you think I'm a cheat code? Hahahaha... Let me explain that I'm not a cheat code. I'm... what on earth do you call it?" "Yes, I'm a government employee, but I have to work between dimensions. And before you waste my precious time with your questions, my job here is to ensure your safety so you don't die during the soul fusion process and to grant you a few other things." Ryan was shocked that the system wasn't his cheat code, but he took a deep breath and asked the system to clarify. "Okay, let me first explain the soul fusion process. As you see, the first party, a soul like yours from another world, merges with me. The second party, the soul of someone from this world, meets the following strict conditions: First, the first party must be dead, and the second party must be condemned to a miserable life. The second condition is that the second party must consent to the process. For the process to be successful, the second party's memories must be taken, along with erasing a portion of the agreement from their entire memory, as well as a portion of the first party's memories. My job is to ensure the process is successful, that you don't die the moment you arrive in this world, and that you are granted certain abilities. The strength of these abilities depends on your luck right now. Do you understand?"

Ryan looked confused as he pieced together the information he'd gathered. "So... you're here to restore this body's memories... what do you mean by the power I'm gaining being based on luck?"

The system replies: Well, since you were transported to this world against your will, and given your physical weakness, even if you were granted memories of this world and then left, the process of soul fusion would be a waste of time and effort, and you would die immediately without any resistance. Therefore, you will be given four chances on the Wheel of Destiny, and these four chances will not grant you any draws: negative draws or abilities that could threaten your life. In return, your chances of obtaining anything at the Legendary, Mythical, or Ruler level are diminished. I believe this is clear to you now.

"I have four opportunities to develop my skills to an intermediate level. Oh my God!"

After some thought, Ryan asks the system about its memory.

"...Well, you'll get it after the draw."

"Why?" After the question, the system responds with a tone of resentment, annoyance, and anger.

"Well, simply put, most newcomers have the advantage of knowing some of the secrets of this world and its fate, and after regaining their memories, they recall their experiences of this world. Do you know anything about it, or anything they do?..." Insulting me is a system that has nothing to do with this client except ensure their safety. And if you're asking who's responsible for all this nonsense, I don't know. And when I tell them, the insults and shouting only increase. I'm not paid for all this nonsense, so you'll be held responsible after I'm gone." After a moment of silence, Ryan asked:

"Okay... can I have it?"

Before he could finish speaking, a roulette wheel appeared, giving off an eerie feeling of power. After it appeared, the system continued, "Alright, I'll finish explaining the rules of your four chances and how to spin the wheel. First, the four chances. The confirmed abilities that will appear are Life Ability, Combat Ability, Magic Ability, and finally, a blessing from a ruler. To spin the wheel, approach it, place your hand in the center, think about spinning it, and then repeat the action, but think about pausing. After four chances, I will give you the rewards and explain if you understand."

"Yes"

Ryan does what the system tells him to do and decides to do it four times.

"Oh regime, can the last session be rescheduled?"

"No, what you have lost cannot be recovered or restored. However, I believe you have hope of surviving until I see you again."

Ryan was shocked by the system's words and asked, "What do you mean by 'see you again' and what are my chances of surviving in this world?"

Well, since I'll be seeing you again, it's okay to tell you. You know, I look like a government employee, and you know, this kind of job requires monitoring people like you, or as they call them, "demons from another world," to make sure they don't destroy the world to the point where it affects us. Don't ask how it affects us, or about the pay for this job... a little... I do a kind of interdimensional business. For example, if you have an item or ability you want to sell, I act as an intermediary between the seller and the buyer, subject to certain rules and the special services I provide. It's a full-fledged "Fate and Destiny Roulette" service, not the one with the four chances. It's divided into two types. The first is the regular type, which involves safe winnings, and the winnings usually don't harm the user, although the percentage of jackpots is small. The other is the jackpot (the crazy wheel), which is a kind of high-level gambling, but there's no need to go on about it. The important thing is knowing which currency can be used, which is Influence Points, and how to earn them, either through the tasks that will be offered to you or by purchasing them with the currencies of this world... As for your chances of surviving until we meet, they are about 40%. If we don't take the body into account, the percentage would be 20.7%.

What do you mean by "Baloo's body" according to us?

"You will know later, and now together, the important thing is the memories of the body."

Before Ryan could object, he heard a crackling sound, and felt as if he had focused his mind on something cold and then boiling.

Images began flashing from his miserable life in his family home, the Ashburn family, where his brothers and sisters bullied him and his two sons ignored him.

All the way to his entry into the Imperial Academy, and all the way to the main reason for his room being vacated

As he reminisces, he experiences a feeling of déjà vu.

"...Damn it, on my first day in this world I have more than half of the heroes of this world as my enemies, you system."

Before he could finish, the system interrupted, saying, "No. The world cannot be changed, and the process of merging the soul cannot be undone. Oh, I forgot you'll be given a State System. My advice is not to tell anyone. You are a demon from another world, and although you are still considered the owner of the body, the inhabitants of this world will treat you worse than someone possessed by a demon."

Ryan swallows hard at the thought.

The system continues in its emotionless tone (Yes, there is a special feature that can be used to increase your experience and collect points. For ten points, you can activate the (Trial Simulation) feature. You will play the role of someone, either in the past or the present. In this world or another world, you will be assigned a task. The more difficult the task, the greater the reward. This feature can be activated while you are asleep. And now I will leave).

Before the regime could get up to question him, it found that the regime had already left.

After Ryan realized the world he was in, his position, and his level of power, the thought occurred to him: "Damn it, I'm done for."
