Chapter 7 - Spirit-Coin

Morning fog covered the streets of the coastal city.

Adrian stepped out of the hotel while the city was only beginning to wake up.

Shopkeepers were opening their doors, and a few early carriages moved through the damp streets.

Adrian walked calmly through the market district.

After sitting on the throne inside the Sefirot, he now had a clearer understanding of certain mystical materials.

Just simple things that could help him perform small spiritual experiments.

Soon he entered a narrow street filled with herbal shops and small merchants.

One shop in particular caught his attention.

Bundles of dried herbs hung in the window, and several strange glass bottles were displayed on wooden shelves.

Adrian pushed the door open.

A faint bell rang.

The inside of the shop smelled strongly of herbs and incense.

Behind the counter stood an old man wearing round glasses.

"What do you need?" the old man asked casually.

"Basic materials," Adrian replied calmly.

The man nodded and pointed toward several shelves.

Adrian slowly browsed the shop.

He purchased a few simple items:

-ritual candles

-spirit-attracting herbs

-incense

-a small pouch of silver powder

Then he noticed something else.

A small box filled with old copper coins.

They were simple and cheap.

Adrian picked up a few and turned them in his hand.

"These will work."

After paying, Adrian quietly left the shop.

Night soon arrived.

The moon hung above the quiet city as Adrian walked toward the graveyard outside the town.

Cold wind rustled through the trees.

When he pushed open the iron gate, it creaked softly in the silence.

Rows of tombstones stretched across the hill.

Adrian stepped inside slowly.

The moment he entered, his Spirit Master senses awakened.

Faint spiritual traces floated in the air.

Lingering emotions.

Fragments of wandering souls.

Adrian stopped near a group of old graves.

"This should be enough."

He placed a candle on the ground and lit it.

The small flame flickered quietly in the wind.

Adrian then took out several copper coins and placed them in front of him.

"This is the first test."

He closed his eyes and extended his spiritual senses.

Immediately he felt it.

Several weak spirits drifting through the graveyard.

They were barely conscious.

Just fragments left behind by the dead.

Adrian slowly reached out with his mind.

A faint spirit drifted closer.

The air around him became slightly colder.

Adrian opened his eyes and picked up one of the coins.

He sprinkled a small amount of silver powder onto its surface.

Then he whispered softly.

"Rest… and return."

Guiding a wandering spirit was easier than forcing one.

The faint ghost flickered uncertainly before slowly moving toward the coin.

For a moment the spirit hesitated.

Then it dissolved into a thin stream of pale mist.

The mist flowed into the coin.

Adrian's eyes widened slightly.

"…It worked."

The copper coin trembled faintly in his hand before becoming completely still.

But Adrian could now feel a small spiritual presence sealed inside.

A one-time spirit coin.

If activated, the spirit energy inside could explode outward, damaging other spirits or driving away weak ones.

Adrian turned the coin over carefully.

"A single-use mystical item…"

Its Not powerful.

But extremely useful for someone at his level.

Then Adrian repeated the process several times.

Guiding.

Binding.

Sealing.

One by one, faint wandering spirits were gently guided into the coins.

By the time the candle burned halfway down, Adrian had created four spirit coins.

Each one contained a weak spiritual fragment.

They could be used to:

Hurt spiritual entities.

Scare away weak ghosts.

Disrupt small spiritual phenomena.

Adrian leaned back slightly and exhaled.

A warm sensation spread through his body again.

The chaotic spiritual energy inside him slowly settled.

His eyes brightened.

"The potion…"

His Spirit Master potion had digested even more.

Acting like a Spirit Master—

Guiding spirits and binding them—was clearly the correct method.

Adrian put the coins carefully into his pocket.

The graveyard grew quiet again.

The cold wind moved through the rows of tombstones.

Adrian looked up at the moon above the hill.

A small smile appeared on his face.

"This world might be dangerous…"

"But it's also full of opportunities."
