The room fell into a heavy silence.
Aarav's heart was pounding in his chest.
His eyes moved slowly from the man in the black suit… to his father tied to the chair.
"Dad… what is he talking about?" Aarav asked.
But his father still refused to look at him.
The man in the black suit laughed softly.
"You see?" he said. "Even now… he doesn't have the courage to tell you the truth."
Aarav clenched his fists.
"Stop playing games," he said angrily. "Untie him and talk to me."
The man raised an eyebrow.
"You really want to know the truth?"
"Yes."
The man slowly walked around the room, his footsteps echoing in the silence.
"Ten years ago," he began, "your father and I were business partners."
Aarav frowned.
"My father never told me that."
"Of course he didn't," the man replied with a cold smile.
Anaya stood beside Aarav, listening carefully.
"What happened then?" she asked.
The man stopped walking.
"What happened?" he repeated.
Then his voice suddenly turned darker.
"Your father betrayed me."
Aarav's eyes widened.
"That's not true," he said immediately.
But the man continued.
"We built a company together from nothing. We trusted each other like brothers."
He looked directly at Aarav's father.
"But one night… he transferred all the money from our company account."
Aarav's heart skipped a beat.
"That's a lie," he said.
The man laughed again.
"Is it?"
He suddenly grabbed Aarav's father by the collar.
"Tell him the truth."
Aarav looked at his father desperately.
"Dad… say something."
For a moment, his father stayed silent.
Then slowly… he finally spoke.
"I did take the money."
The words hit Aarav like a shock.
"What?" Aarav whispered.
But his father quickly added,
"I had no choice."
The man in the black suit slammed his hand on the table.
"That's the excuse you've been using for ten years!"
Anaya looked confused.
"Why did you take the money?" she asked.
Aarav's father looked at both of them.
His voice was quiet.
"Because someone was threatening our family."
Aarav froze.
"What do you mean?"
His father looked at the man standing in front of them.
"The person threatening us… was him."
The room suddenly went silent.
Aarav slowly turned toward the man in the black suit.
The man's calm smile had disappeared.
"So you're finally telling the story your way," he said coldly.
Aarav felt his mind spinning.
"Wait… are you saying you took the money to protect us?" he asked his father.
"Yes," his father replied.
"But it destroyed his business and reputation," he continued sadly.
The man laughed angrily.
"You didn't just destroy my business," he said.
"You destroyed my life."
He slowly pulled a gun from his coat.
Anaya gasped.
The man pointed the gun directly at Aarav.
"So now," he said quietly, "it's time your family feels the same pain."
Aarav stepped forward.
"Leave them out of this."
The man smiled again.
"Oh, I will."
Then he said something strange.
"But before that… there's one more person you should meet."
Aarav frowned.
"What do you mean?"
The man turned toward the door.
And suddenly—
The door slowly opened.
Footsteps echoed inside the house.
Aarav looked toward the entrance.
And the moment he saw who walked in…
His eyes widened in complete shock.
Because the person standing in the doorway was someone he never expected..
Rohan
But this time
He is not alone
NBehind him stood someone wearing a mask, and even from the shadows, Aarav could feel the presence of someone he thought was long gone.
