Chapter One – Addicted to You
I can't stop thinking about him.
Even when I try, my mind drifts back to his smile, the sound of his laugh, the way my chest races whenever he's near. It's exhausting and beautiful all at once. I should be able to forget him, move on like everyone else does. But I can't.
We met at a place I never expected to matter a hub for young people, just somewhere to pass the time. But that Monday, everything changed. He walked in, and suddenly, the world around me didn't exist.
The first conversation was simple, harmless. But the more we talked, the more I realized how much I wanted to hear him, see him, know him. I told him things I'd never shared with anyone. He listened. Really listened. And in that moment, it felt like my heart had found its missing piece.
Days passed, and I found myself counting down the hours until I could see him again. Every laugh, every glance, every shared secret tied me closer to him. I was falling faster than I ever thought possible.
And then came the first time he wasn't there.
It shouldn't have mattered. It was just one day. But my chest ached like it was breaking. I realized then, I didn't just like him. I was addicted to him.
