Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Life is boring

Prologue

There was a young girl dressed in white, roaming around the woods. She saw a village that looked old yet cozy, so she entered.

All of a sudden, she vanished without a trace. A few years later, the missing case of 'the girl dressed in white who had disappeared', was closed down and forgotten. Before the girl vanished, she left a jade pendant hidden in the woods, forbidden to touch. When she slowly started to realize no one would search for her, she grew lonelier. The village remained silent for months… then years…

Chapter 1 – Life is boring

_10 YEARS LATER_

The city was crowded with people and pets, lights shining brightly, and, in the nearby theatre, stage dancers gleamed in their spotlight. Nearly everyone enjoyed and watched the show, except for a teen boy sitting on the edge of the windowsill, watching the outside contentedly.

"REN, COME DOWN TO EAT AND STOP BEING HOLED IN YOUR ROOM ALL DAY!" my mother yelled. "Alright," I spoke quietly. I opened the door and headed to the dinner table. Breakfast sat there, awaiting . Dad was at work 24/7, toiling away as a secretary for the top company of Architecture. He designed villages and hotels/residences, so I rarely saw him at home. The village that was down the road, was made by my dad's team and, therefore the investigation of the girl dressed in white was closed for the whole community, I needed to solve it. No one can forget about it, that girl was… "I am finished eating, Mum," I said. I walked into my room and glanced outside. Our house has 3 bedrooms, one for mum, one for dad, and one for me. Dad was mostly at work and returned at night once all the lights were out in our house, which is midnight. Isn't it suspicious?

I woke up at 11:59 PM, peaking through the window curtains, after 1 minute passed, a car stopped… right in front of Mum's house. A tall man looking eerie stepped out of his car, following a women holding his hand – not my mother. I gasped. It was my dad. Tall, thin, and terrifying. I instantly hid against the wall when my dad peaked through MY window. My stamina was out of line, my breath out of the rhythm and suddenly …

After a few minutes of a black out, I ended up in an old village, crusty leaves fell down the trees, feeling like it was Autumn. The wind whistled, then silence begun… I was eager to find out where I was before I got seriously lost. I turned around hearing a crackle, crunch, it was a girl dressed in bloody and dirty white clothes. Was it the girl that everyone in the city was mentioning? I froze… not because I was afraid, but because I was eager to discover more.

She's walking towards me, I quickly thought.

"Hey there, my name is Shiro, and your name is?" the girl softly spoke in a high pitch voice.

"Oh… uh… um, my name is Ren", I shyly mumbled. Shiro took her hand out of her pocket and gave me a gesture to hold her hand. As I hesitantly reached my hand out towards her, I saw blood on the edge of her fingertips.
