Chapter 2 - School Trip: The Great Sandwich Disaster

School Trip: The Great Sandwich Disaster

The sun was barely up, but the school parking lot was louder than a rock concert. Our class was heading to the Golden Valley Nature Park. Our teacher, Mr. Ahmed, stood by the bus with a clipboard, looking like a man who hadn't had enough coffee for what was about to happen.

The Bus Chaos

As soon as we boarded, the chaos began. Rafi brought his "ultra-bass" speakers, and Sarah brought three different types of chips. Ten minutes into the ride, the bus smelled like a mix of spicy onions and teenage excitement.

The highlight? Niloy fell asleep within five minutes. His mouth was wide open, and his head was bobbing like a toy. We spent the next half hour trying to see how many empty chip packets we could balance on his head before he woke up. We reached seven before a speed bump ended the game.

The "Wild" Encounter

When we arrived, Mr. Ahmed gave us a stern warning: "Stay away from the monkeys. They are professionals."

We laughed. How professional could a monkey be? Niloy found out the hard way. While we were sitting by the lake, Niloy pulled out a massive, triple-decker sandwich his mom had packed. Just as he took a deep breath to take the first bite, a small monkey dropped from a tree, snatched the sandwich right out of his hands, and climbed back up in three seconds flat.

The monkey sat on a branch, unwrapped the foil with perfect precision, and took a bite while staring Niloy right in the eyes. It was like the monkey was saying, "Thanks for the catering, buddy."
