Dreams are beautiful. But the road toward them is rarely easy. When the girls turned sixteen, they decided to audition for entertainment companies in the city.
It was their first time leaving their small town. The buildings seemed impossibly tall. The streets were crowded with strangers. And the auditions were brutal.
"Next!". They performed again and again.
Sometimes the judges barely looked at them.
Sometimes they were rejected immediately.
Sometimes they heard the words that hurt the most.
"You're not ready."
One night, after another rejection, Elia sat on the sidewalk outside the audition building.
"I'm tired," she said quietly.
Ella sat beside her, hugging her knees.
"Maybe we're not good enough."
Emma stood silently for a moment.
Then she opened her notebook and began rapping softly.
"Three stars in the night sky
Even if clouds pass by
We'll shine when the time's right…"
Elia looked up.
Ella smiled faintly.
Emma closed the notebook.
"We promised we would do this together," she said.
"So we keep going. Together."
