Chapter 1:
The rain poured heavily across the city that night. The streets were almost empty as thunder echoed through the dark sky.
Sophia hurried along the roadside, holding her small handbag close to her chest. Her clothes were soaked, and her shoes were filled with water, but she didn't slow down. She had just been fired from her job, and the last thing she wanted was to be stranded in the rain.
Suddenly, a black luxury car stopped beside her.
Sophia froze.The car window slowly rolled down, revealing a tall, handsome man in an expensive suit. His sharp eyes studied her carefully.
"You shouldn't be walking alone in this rain," he said calmly.
Sophia hesitated. She had never spoken to a stranger like this before.
"I'm fine," she replied quietly.
The man looked at the heavy rain again.
"Get in. I'll take you somewhere dry."
Sophia's heart pounded. Something about him made her nervous, but his voice sounded sincere.Without knowing why, she opened the door and stepped inside the car.
She had no idea that this simple decision would change her life forever.
