The old lady ground the millet and some dumpling for him. Little peachling took them in a bag and tied it around his waist. Then he took leave of the old couple and set out on his journey.
On the way he met a monkey. "Kia!Kia!Kia!" said the monkey, "Where are you going peachling?"he asked.

What are you carrying in your bag? the monkey asked again.
I am carrying with me the very best millet dumpling in my bag. Little peachling said.
If you give me one,I'll go with you. said the monkey. So Little peachling gave one of his dumplings to the monkey. The monkey was very happy to get it and followed Little peachling.
When he had gone a little further,he heard a pheasant calling, Ken!Ken!Ken!, Where are you going Little peachling?
Little Peachling replied as before. The pheasant also asked what Little peachling was carrying in his bag. When he came to know of the millet dumpling, he wished to have one. Little peachling gave a dumpling to him and he too, accompanied him on his expedition.
