Chapter 2 - Yui Yuigahama

In front of a residence.

Hiro followed the memories of this body and found his home.

Although he was someone who had directly transmigrated, he possessed a complete identity in this world and even had 100,000 Japanese Yen deposited into his card every month.

The residence belonged to Hiro; it was a decent place to live, a two-story house with a small garden.

Hiro opened the door and looked at the room, which felt both familiar and strange.

The living room and kitchen on the first floor were fully furnished, all with brand-new items.

The bedroom, the study, and even the clothes on the second floor completely matched his taste.

[Ding! Congratulations, host, on completing the guidance. Please rely on your own efforts from now on. The monthly 100,000 Yen stipend has been terminated.]

"Aren't you going to send this month's payment?" Hiro opened his wallet and saw only 50,000 Japanese Yen remaining, with nothing at all on the card.

[Please rely on your own efforts, host.]

"Fine. I don't believe that I, with the Three-Tomoe Sharingan, won't be able to earn money." Hiro took a can of black tea from the refrigerator and sat on the sofa.

First, he used a mirror to observe the Three-Tomoe Sharingan and looked at the strange three tomoe.

Next, Hiro determined the precautions for using the Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

Since the appearance of the Three-Tomoe Sharingan could be seen in the mirror, it meant others could see it too; being discovered while using it would cause a lot of trouble.

Regarding the targets for the Three-Tomoe Sharingan, he absolutely must not rely on it to steal others' property, unless the target was someone who had committed heinous crimes.

Hiro understood the power of the Three-Tomoe Sharingan and also knew what benefits it would bring him; if he lost himself in the face of these benefits, he would embark on a path of no return.

As for the details of the Three-Tomoe Sharingan's use—such as activation range and the effectiveness of the genjutsu—these still needed to be tested.

Hiro finalized the precautions for using the Three-Tomoe Sharingan and began preparing dinner.

He knew how to cook in his previous life, so there was no need to mention this life.

Although his cooking was very simple, it was at least edible.

Hiro was never a picky eater, and his meals were simple; it took less than an hour from preparation to finishing the meal. After dinner, it was already dusk outside.

Hiro opened the door, and just as he was about to step out, he noticed the door next to his house opening.

"Woof! Woof! Woof!" a small dog ran out of the house.

"Wait for me, Sablé!" A girl's voice sounded.

Hiro was startled. Could that voice belong to her?

She had pink bun-style hair, delicate features, and was dressed in a sweatshirt paired with shorts, making her look both cute and extremely pretty.

"Oh, Hiro-kun?" Yuigahama Yui turned her head, saw Hiro, and exclaimed in surprise.

"It really is Yuigahama-san. I thought I misheard. Is this your house?" Hiro said with a wry smile.

"So Hiro-kun is the new neighbor who just moved in. I hadn't seen anyone before, so I thought the house was empty." Yuigahama Yui gave an awkward smile; she hadn't noticed that Hiro lived right next door.

"I just moved in today, and I was planning to go out to buy gifts to visit the neighbors. I didn't expect to run into Yuigahama-san. Could you show me around the area? I'm still not very familiar with it," Hiro said, his eyes twinkling.

"No problem. I was just about to take Sablé for a walk." Yuigahama Yui smiled.

"Then I'll trouble Yuigahama-san." Hiro bowed politely.

The two of them walked out of the yard and headed toward a street.

Yuigahama Yui glanced at Hiro beside her. She really hadn't paid attention to this transfer student, who had only been at school for a few days. Only now did she realize that Hiro had a handsome face, an average build, and looked quite striking.

"What's wrong? Is there something strange on my face?" Hiro joked.

"No, it's nothing like that. I just hadn't noticed Hiro-kun before. Now that I look closely, Hiro-kun is so handsome; why didn't I notice when you transferred? It's strange," Yuigahama Yui said, blushing.

"It's probably my identity. It seems like everyone finds it hard to accept, but I had a good chat with Totsuka Saika-san today." Hiro lowered his head.

"Hiro-kun, maybe you just haven't adapted yet. Everyone formed their own cliques back in the first year. At this point, regardless of a transfer student's background, it's impossible to quickly integrate into everyone's circles," Yuigahama Yui said softly.

"I see. Thank you for the reminder, Yuigahama-san. That's enlightening." Hiro pretended to be surprised.

"In Hiro-kun's hometown, how did people get to know each other?" Yuigahama Yui smiled, changing the topic.

"Well, after going through too many things, feelings naturally developed." Hiro's face stiffened as he spoke.

"Hiro-kun, should I not have asked...?" Yuigahama Yui keenly noticed that Hiro's expression had turned slightly grim.

"My friends all passed away due to an accident." Hiro turned his head, looking toward the other side of the street.

"I'm so sorry." Yuigahama Yui was shocked and quickly apologized.

"It's alright. I've come to terms with it. Yuigahama-san, you don't need to apologize. Let's talk about something happy instead." Hiro waved his hand.

"Hiro-kun is stronger than I thought. Oh, right, Hiro-kun hasn't joined a club yet, has he? Our school has..."

As the two talked, they gradually became more familiar with each other.

Hiro looked at Yuigahama Yui, and the image of another girl flashed through his mind; she had also been so gentle and kind.

"Hiro, one day, we're going to leave this place, and when we do, we'll be together."

"Don't always frown; I like the way you smile."

"I'm sorry, I can't walk with you anymore. Could you... kiss me one last time?"

"Hiro-kun? Hiro-kun?" Yuigahama Yui waved her small hand in front of Hiro.

"Sorry, sorry. I suddenly remembered something else and zoned out." Hiro snapped back to reality.

"Up ahead is an optician's; they should have the glasses you need. As for the supermarket, that's further away. The convenience store here has good and cheap bento boxes, and this small restaurant—don't let its plain appearance fool you—the owner is amazing. Even their regular egg fried rice is incredibly delicious..."

Hiro looked in the direction Yuigahama Yui was pointing, and when he saw the sign for the small restaurant, he was slightly stunned.

"Ah, Sablé!" Yuigahama Yui cried out in surprise.

Hiro watched the escaping dog and instinctively blocked its path.

"Woof!" The little dog, stopped by Hiro, obediently huddled at his feet.

"I'm so sorry, he almost ran off again. Hiro-kun, thank goodness for you." Yuigahama Yui felt a surge of fear and reattached the leash securely.

"Did he run into the road before?" Hiro looked at Yuigahama Yui's slightly pale face.

"The last time Sablé ran into the road, someone got injured trying to save him," Yuigahama Yui said with a complicated expression.
