Hello. Who am I? Uh... My name is Phukan, I'm 13 years old. Nice to meet you. I'm half Thai, half Chinese, and currently studying at ■■ school.
I glanced at the message before clicking it. This is a message I created to introduce myself. I copied it for easy use. My real name is Phukan(Phukan in thai mean paintbrush), no joke. My mom loves watercolor painting, so when I was born, she named me Phukan.
I like going to game arcades to play games, I like sleeping, and I don't really like studying much. However, I really like science and math, which is why I always get perfect scores on exams.
Today was an exam day. I woke up, grabbed three slices of bread, and walked to school, forgetting to eat them. Yes, I forgot! I have a good memory, but also a terrible one at the same time. I arrived at school and immediately went into the exam room, confidently answering the math questions. Of course, I got a perfect score. After the exam, at 3:00 PM in China, I was walking home when suddenly all the TVs were broadcasting a news report simultaneously.
The headline read: "New Star Discovered: Ignis Approaching Earth," showing an image of a fiery red star in the sky. I quickly looked up and saw Ignis, which had suddenly appeared, even though the sky had been clear that morning. After estimating, its center seemed to be near London.
Then the TVs showed reporters, and one of them announced: "This morning at 7:47 AM in London, a large, fiery red star appeared in the sky. Scientists have calculated its orbit and say it will pass close to Earth. Therefore, there is no need for panic, but for safety reasons, please follow these measures." "Everyone near the coast, move all your belongings to higher ground to prevent flooding from Ignis's gravity pulling the water up. Please remain alert at all times so you can prepare for Ignis's gravitational pull as he approaches Earth."
I immediately rushed back home, knowing no one was waiting for me—my parents were dead. I quickly packed fragile items into my backpack so they wouldn't break when Ignis arrived.
Then I suddenly realized it was my birthday! How could my memory be so bad...? I looked out the window and was momentarily stunned by what I saw. I should have seen the sky, but instead, a giant, fiery red star was approaching. Strangely, I wasn't affected by its gravity at all, and neither was anything else.
Ignis was hurtling towards me, and then it passed. It flew through skyscrapers and into Earth, and after its surface touched the ground, a blinding light enveloped everything. It was bright enough to blind people, yet it had no ill effects. When I opened my eyes, I found myself in a field of grass and a new world. I saw strangers everywhere. I immediately knew this wasn't the world I knew anymore...
