Chapter 13 - The place

Chaos lasted only a few seconds.

But sometimes, a few seconds were all someone needed.

The man who slipped on the banana peel was still struggling to stand, while the others turned their attention toward him. Passengers whispered nervously, unsure of what was happening.

In the middle of the confusion, the train began slowing down.

The brakes screeched loudly.

Everyone looked toward the windows.

Outside, the train had stopped at a small, quiet station in the middle of nowhere. The platform looked old and almost empty. A broken sign hung from a rusted pole.

No crowds.

No noise.

Just silence.

One of the men cursed under his breath. "Why are we stopping here?"

Another checked outside the door nervously.

"This isn't the main stop."

The leader looked irritated, glancing at his watch again.

Across the aisle, the boy watched everything carefully.

The familiar traveler leaned closer.

"You think this is what they were waiting for?"

He nodded slightly.

"Yes."

Outside the window, a few distant figures appeared at the far end of the platform.

They were walking slowly toward the train.

Passengers inside the carriage noticed them too.

Fear returned immediately.

More people.

More trouble.

The familiar traveler sighed quietly.

"So this is the place, huh?"

The boy stared at the approaching figures, his expression calm but focused.

"This train didn't stop here by accident," he said.

The figures on the platform came closer.

Closer.

And in that quiet, abandoned station…

It became clear.

This wasn't just a robbery.

This place had been chosen for a reason.
