After saving the old man, Ayan slowly walked back home through the dark path.
The storm was slowly disappearing, but the cold wind was still moving through the trees.
Ayan's mind was full of questions.
"Was that whisper real?" he thought.
He had clearly heard a voice in the wind telling him to go to the river. And when he went there, he really found someone in danger.
It didn't make sense.
When Ayan reached home, his mother was worried.
"Where were you?" she asked.
"I… I went outside for a walk," Ayan replied quietly.
He didn't tell her about the strange whisper. Even he didn't fully understand what had happened.
Later that night, Ayan tried to sleep.
The village was silent. The storm had completely stopped.
Suddenly…
The wind outside his window began to move again.
The leaves on the trees started shaking softly.
And then Ayan heard it again.
A whisper.
A very faint voice hidden in the wind.
"Be careful…"
Ayan suddenly sat up in his bed.
His heart started beating faster.
The whisper came again.
"Something is coming…"
Ayan slowly walked toward the window and looked outside into the darkness.
Everything looked normal.
But far away, near the edge of the forest…
A shadowy figure was standing silently.
And it was watching Ayan.
