Chapter 4 - Episode 3: Playful Chiding

The cobblestone streets of Arogon's capital buzzed with merchants and festival preparations, the air filled with music, laughter, and the scent of sweet pastries. Jenny Astral bounced ahead of her sister, giggling as she tugged lightly on Roseline's hand.

"Come on, slowpokes! Let's not keep the city waiting!" Jenny chirped again, her energy unstoppable.

Roseline stopped mid-step, her orange gown fluttering gently in the breeze. She looked at Jenny with a mock frown, her lotus-petal shaped eyes glinting mischievously. "Yah, you call me the slowpoke?" she said, voice light and playful, leaning toward her younger sister. "You're the one who focused me into coming on the carriage! Remember? We only came for the festival, okay?"

Jenny tilted her head, eyes sparkling, and let out a little laugh. "I'm focused? No way! I'm just having fun!"

Roseline sighed, smiling despite herself, and gently nudged Jenny forward. "Fun is fine… but let's not get lost in the crowd, little whirlwind. Keep up!"

Jenny laughed and skipped ahead, spinning around to look back at her sister. "Yes, yes! I'll try! But you have to admit, the festival is more fun than listening to you lecture!"

Roseline's lips curved into a soft, amused smile. She shook her head, brushing a lock of her long dark hair behind her shoulder. "You're incorrigible, Jenny. Truly incorrigible…"

Unseen by the sisters, in the shadows of the busy market, Royer and Raylan continued to watch, hidden under the crowd's noise. Royer's crimson eyes narrowed slightly, not just observing their appearance, but their interaction.

"So lively," Raylan murmured, his calm voice low. "And bold… for nobles visiting the capital."

Royer's lips curved faintly, almost a smirk. "Interesting," he said, voice quiet. "We'll see how bold they are when they step into the wrong hands."
