The story begins in the city of California, America. On the fourth floor of an apartment building lives a boy named Lee Jung-woo with his mother.
Jung-woo is very handsome and he is the most loving son of his mother. He loves his mom very much. Recently, Jung-woo has joined college.
From the very first day of college, many students started liking him. Some of them even became his followers. However, Jung-woo does not like showing off. He is calm, simple, and very intelligent.
Soon he makes a good friend named Mike.
Mike is also a very kind person like Jung-woo. He is a very good dancer and singer. Mike has a dream to become an idol one day.
One day, while they were walking together, Mike said to Jung-woo,
"I really want to become an idol someday."
Jung-woo looked at him and said,
"Then why don't you give an audition?"
Mike suddenly became excited.
"That's right! Why didn't I think of this before?"
They both laughed.
Mike then said,
"Okay, let's talk tomorrow. I have to go now. My dad must be waiting for me."
Jung-woo replied,
"Alright. My mom must be waiting for me too. Bye."
They both went to their homes.
When Jung-woo reached home, his mom asked,
"Why are you so late today?"
"I was with my friend Mike," Jung-woo replied.
"Okay, come and eat dinner," she said.
After dinner, his mother reminded him,
"Tomorrow your first semester will start. Study carefully."
Jung-woo smiled and said,
"Mom, you know how much I love studying."
"Yes, I know. Still, take care."
"Good night, mom."
Jung-woo went to his room and lay down on his bed. He started thinking that maybe he should go somewhere to travel during the vacation.
While thinking about this, he slowly fell asleep.
The next morning, his mom called him,
"Jung-woo! Come and have breakfast and get ready for college."
"Coming, mom!"
Jung-woo came downstairs and asked,
"What did you make for breakfast today?"
His mom smiled and said,
"I made your favorite hotdog."
"Really? Thank you, mom!"
They had breakfast together.
After getting ready, Jung-woo received a call from Mike.
"Hey! Where are you?"
"Just getting ready," Jung-woo replied.
"Hurry up and come to college."
When Jung-woo reached college, the first semester had just begun.
After some time Jung-woo said,
"Man, I'm really hungry."
Mike laughed and said,
"Let's go to the cafeteria."
While eating, Mike suddenly asked,
"Did you think about what you said yesterday… about the audition?"
Jung-woo nodded.
"I heard that many people give auditions in Korea."
Mike was surprised.
"Really? How did I not know that?"
Jung-woo said,
"Maybe during our vacation we can go to Korea."
Mike smiled.
"That would be amazing! It will be a great vacation too."
"Until then, I'll do some research," Mike said.
"Good idea," Jung-woo replied.
Suddenly Jung-woo stopped.
"Oh no! I forgot my ID card in the classroom."
"Wait here," he said. "I'll get it."
Mike laughed.
"You are so forgetful."
Jung-woo came back with his ID card.
"Alright, let's go home now."
"Okay. Bye!"
"Bye!"
And just like that, their normal college life continued…
not knowing that their lives would soon change forever
