Chapter 24 - The Outer Disciple Grounds

The Outer Disciple Residence was located on the lower slopes of the mountain

Hundreds of stone dormitories lined the hillside

Training fields filled the open spaces between them

Kael followed the guiding disciple through the busy area

Everywhere he looked, cultivators practiced

Some trained sword techniques

Others meditated, circulating Aether through their bodies

The atmosphere was intense

Everyone here sought strength

The guiding disciple finally stopped in front of a small stone building

"This is your room."

He tossed Kael a wooden token

"Room 47."

Kael stepped inside

The room was simple

A bed

A table

A small window overlooking the mountain forests

But to Kael, it felt like a new beginning

He sat on the bed and closed his eyes

Inside his body, Origin Energy flowed steadily

Unlike Aether, it felt deeper

Older

More primal

The system appeared again

Host: Kael Veyron

Realm: Mortal Body Stage 9 (Peak)

Abilities

• Origin Sense

• Origin Strike

• Origin Rush

• Origin Body

Kael exhaled slowly

"Peak Mortal Body…"

He had reached the limit of human physical strength

But his real breakthrough had not yet happened

The Origin Core

That was his next step

Suddenly, a knock came from the door

Kael opened it

Rylan stood outside

The outer disciple leaned against the doorway casually

"Thought I'd check on the new guy."

Kael raised an eyebrow

"You're friendly for someone I punched across a courtyard."

Rylan laughed

"That's exactly why I'm here."

He looked around the room

"So, tell me something."

Kael crossed his arms

"What?"

Rylan's eyes sharpened slightly

"How did you really kill the Ironhorn Tyrant?"

For a moment, the room was silent

Kael considered his answer carefully

Then he smiled faintly

"Hard work."

Rylan stared at him

Then laughed loudly

"Yeah… I figured you'd say that."

He turned to leave

But before walking away, he spoke again

"Just be careful."

Kael frowned slightly

"Why?"

Rylan looked toward the higher peaks of the sect

"Because the inner disciples won't like you."

Kael followed his gaze

At the very top of the mountain stood several grand palaces

Where the strongest disciples trained

Rylan's voice became quieter

"And one of them…"

"…really hates outsiders."

Kael leaned against the doorway thoughtfully

His life inside the sect had only just begun

And already…

Trouble was coming.
