White…
Creamy…
Fatty…
Refreshing…
The sublime taste of milk. I can feel it flowing down my throat. Not the kind of natural milk freshly collected from a cow, but the processed type mixed with all sorts of chemicals. Normally, as an avid lover of milk, I should find that disgusting but because of how much I love milk, I simply can't.
In the first place, I'm supposed to be dead. Did I somehow get saved?
My eyes flutter open, and the first thing that appears before me is a white ceiling. Not the usual cracked, cheap ceiling of my home, this one is completely different, almost exotic, like the kind you'd only see in movies. Even the atmosphere feels different.
It's cold, not the harsh chill of winter, but something subtler. Controlled.
Damn… am I in heaven?
Suddenly, a woman's face tilts into view, her body looming slightly over me.
An angel, that's the only way I could describe her. She has a bright, beautiful smile, smooth porcelain skin, and dark night-colored hair styled neatly in a side-swept bang. There's also a small black mole resting on the right side of her nose.
Letting my gaze drift lower, I notice she's wearing a floral-patterned kimono dress that strangely accentuates her figure.
Where in the holy fuck am I?
I try to lift my body, but I immediately realize how weak I am. My arms barely respond.
"Don't stress yourself, Burns!" the woman exclaims, gently pushing me back onto the bed. Then, all of a sudden, she begins to cry.
What the hell?
"How could you do that to me, Burns? How could you be so selfish that you would try to kill yourself?! Why?! Just because you don't have a Quirk you want to end it all? What about the promise you made to me? What about the family legacy?!" she cries out again, her voice breaking as tears pour down her face.
The language she's speaking sounds strange, completely different from what I used in my previous world. Yet, somehow, I understand every word.
Did I… die and reincarnate into another world?
As that thought crosses my mind, a sharp pain suddenly pierces my head, like needles stabbing straight into my brain.
"Argh!" I clutch my head in agony, and at the same time, strange memories begin flooding into my mind. Memories that aren't mine start merging with my own.
"What's wrong, Burns?!" the woman asks in panic, frantically checking on me.
Just as suddenly as it started, the pain fades.
[Congratulations, Host. You have been transmigrated to another world due to a blunder by Hades. As compensation for this grave mistake, you have been granted a gift, a System, along with several additional perks.]
[Would you like to check your perks first, or view your System information?]
What the fuck?! I really did reincarnate into another world!
Well, hell yeah! Show me my perks first.
