Write a diary sharing any secret of your life
I'm writing this tonight because I have a secret that I'm just not ready to share with anyone else yet. It's been sitting in the back of my mind all day, making me feel a mix of guilt and a weird kind of excitement.
Earlier today, while Mom was out running errands, I was practicing my basketball dribbling in the hallway—even though I know I'm not supposed to. I lost control of the ball for just a second, and it thudded right into the framed photo of our graduation trip. I heard a "snap," and my heart sank.
When I checked, the glass wasn't broken, but the wooden frame had a small crack in the corner. I spent the next half hour carefully pushing it back into place and adjusting the photo so the damage is hidden behind the mounting. When Mom came home, she looked right at the photo and didn't notice a thing.
I feel bad for being dishonest, but I also feel like I've successfully "saved" myself from a huge lecture. For now, the secret of the cracked frame stays with me.
