A couple of days has passed, so far, they had renovated the Ivory Tower - Cassie told them it's name - and sparring with each other to test let Sunny and Nephis explore their newfound abilities
So, the Twilight Keepers are desperately trying to survive in a fight
"Wait, wait! Sunny! We are good friends right? Please spare me!" Sid ran quickly away from Sunny
Sunny gave her a glance before running on all fours, with four arms trying to grab her. Sid shrieked pathetically before getting grabbed by Sunny
Sid tried to break free from Sunny's grasp but froze when Sunny brought her close to his face
Sid laughed awkwardly before she shivered at Sunny grin
"Good friend, huh?" Sunny's deceptively demonic voice rumbled throughout Sid's body
Sunny laughed before he felt Sid's body go limp. He loosened his grip and held Sid by the arm, tugging on her to check if she's alive
She didn't react, so Sunny panicked, he went to check for her pulse and it was there. Apparently she passed out
Sunny turned around to see all of the Twilight Keepers slowly back away from Sunny with awkward smiles
He could also see Cassie, Kai, and Effie shiver under his gaze, only Nephis seemed unbothered
Sunny walked over and gently laid Sid on the soft grass of the Ivory Tower. He then dismissed [Remnants of Shadows] and let the shadows go off his body to break down his Shadow Shell
Sunny stretched his limbs before walking over to the cohort and sitting down on the grass
When he did, all of the Twilight Keepers fell on their assets. Sunny laid on the soft grass before thinking over his fight against all of the Twilight Keepers
I'm his opinion, he did good, exceptional even, they were the best of the best of Awakened's anyone could get, and he managed to fight all of them without getting hit and without damaging them too badly... Except for Sid, that was on accident though
Sunny was relaxing on the grass before Effie said loudly
"You really are scary, aren't you Sunny? Let's be friends" Effie grinned awkwardly
"You did great, Sunny!" Kai added
Sunny laughed and said
"Thanks"
They all talked about a few things before Sunny wanted to go to the academy to give Teacher Julius(the goat) a few things
Sunny walked towards the Ivory Tower before looking around for the Gateway. He appeared in the living room of the Immortal Flame manor
He went to his room, dressed in new clothes, then Shadow Stepped his way to the academy
Julius was working on his paper peacefully. Then Sunny appeared next to him, scaring the Spell out of him
"The Spell! Oh, dead gods! Don't scare me like that!" Julius held his chest as he was breathing heavily
Sunny raised his eyebrow before sending him the report Sunny made. They talked for awhile before Julius thanked him for the report
Sunny was about to pull on his tether to go back to the Dream Realm. He appeared in the middle of the Ivory Tower, and he saw Nephis sparring with a few of the Twilight Keepers
He quietly walked over and sat down next to Kai and Effie, completely scaring the shit out of them
Sunny rolled his eyes and focused on the battle. So far, Nephis was absolutely dominanting the battle against the Twilight Keepers
One of the Twilight Keepers tried to sneak up from behind her, but Nephis raised her sword to bonk the Twilight Keeper on the forehead with the pommel of her sword
The fight was pretty uninteresting since Nephis was a master and way better in swordmanship, but it was nice seeing Nephis not using her Aspect
After the battle was over, Nephis walked over and sat down next to Sunny, Sunny summoned [Endless Spring] and gave it to Nephis
Nephis drank a lot from it before giving it back to Sunny, the whole exchanged looked like it was practiced, not a single mistake, besides the small contact of their fingers brushing when they hand it to the other
Effie, Kai, and Cassie - who saw it from Kai and Effie perspective - studied it carefully. All of them thought the same thing
'They must be secretly dating...' Effie and Cassie was ecstatic, Kai was just happy for them
When Sunny went away to train with his Shadows. Cassie, Effie, and Kai - reluctantly, more or less, Cassie and Effie forced him to - dragged Nephis somewhere on the Ivory Tower to question her
"What is it?" Nephis was confused but didn't really mind being dragged away to keep her mind off the fact that her fingers brushed with Sunny
Effie and Cassie looked at her with massive grins, while Kai muttered a small apology
Effie started first
"So, when have you started dating Doofus?" Effie leaned in
Nephis flinched very slightly, but Cassie and Effie saw it, she said sheepishly
"What do you mean? I am not dating Sunny" she kept her composed face, but her ears were red
Cassie and Effie looked at Kai, he shook his head which prompted to make Cassie and Effie groaned in frustration and in disappointment, probably both
Effie grabbed Nephis shoulders aggressively and said with an annoyed tone
"Princess, please pray tell, why you are not dating Doofus?" Effie frowned and stared into Nephis eyes
"He's an cherished friend, a companion I could trust my life in, he has saved my life on multiple occasions" Nephis voice did not falter for a single moment
Effie and Cassie sighed heavily. Cassie asked next
"But, do you want him to be your boyfriend?"
Nephis shrugged and said
"I don't care if he's my bo-" Cassie and Effie cut her off
"Yes or no" now all three of them stared at Nephis, awaiting her answer
Nephis gulped and mumbled so low that it could have been a whisper, but luckily, they could still hear it
"... Yes" Nephis looked away with a tint of red on her cheeks and ears
Cassie and Effie screamed excitedly. Kai smiled happily, before Effie and Cassie grabbing Nephis to explain a plan they made to make Sunny fall for her
Sunny a few minutes ago...
["You seem distracted, it's something wrong?"] Crene asked while laying on the ground, next to Nightmare
Sunny paid attention to the message for a second too long and he got hit in the stomach by Saint for it. Sunny yelped and told Saint to stop before laying on the ground
Medusa raised her head to look at Sunny before laying her head back down in her coiled up body
Sunny sighed loudly before his Flaw started to hurt like hell
"I am distracted, and nothings wrong" Sunny stared into the Sky Above
He could hear Crene snort before her voice resounded inside his mind
["I doubt that, is that right Saint?"] Crene turned to look at Saint
Saint glanced at Crene before turning back to watch the sky
["She agrees"] Crene turned back to Sunny
Sunny groaned before propping himself on his elbows to stare at Crene with a frown
"Why do you care so much, anyway?"
Crene flapped her wings a little before resting it on Nightmare, then her voice spoke
["Because I find this interesting, that's all"]
Sunny groaned loudly before closing his eyes. The reason he was distracted, because his fingers brushed with Nephis when she handed him [Endless Spring]
His ears turned red at the thought before Medusa slithered over and crushed him under her head, seemingly annoyed at Sunny's childishness
After a couple of hours after that, the entire Cohort went on a shopping trip in a pretty fancy clothing store, but the main reason was the fact that Sunny and Nephis barely had any clothes, the secret reason was to make Sunny unknowingly go on a date with Nephis
Sunny was walking around with Kai, and for some reason, his hair was white, apparently he bought a Memory to hide himself when no one was looking. He also bought a another Memory of the same type for Nephis, but the Memory he bought for Nephis could only turn the hair black
So, Sunny was wearing mundane clothes with white hair, hands in his pockets. Nephis was walking close to Sunny with black hair and clothes she grabbed from Sunny's already limited wardrobe
Kai kept showing clothes to Sunny and Nephis, and some were quite, ahem, *revealing*, she they adamantly denied it
At some point, Nephis linked arms with Sunny, so he decided to ask her
"I've been meaning to ask, why did you grab my arm?" Sunny turned his head slightly to look at Nephis
Nephis tilted her head and shrugged, she turned to the side with her beautiful silver hair covering her ears, which was bright red
"I wanted to, do you hate it?" Nephis was afraid of his answer, already loosening his grip on Sunny's arm
"I don't mind, I kinda like it" Sunny shrugged and coughed awkwardly
Cassie and Effie watched all of this with a varying annoyed expressions. Kai was still oblivious to the whole thing as he kept recommending clothes
In the end, they only bought a couple pairs of clothes before Effie demanded to get food. They went to a restaurant that Kai found due to his special eyes
All of them took a seat, with Nephis deliberately sitting next to Sunny. They waited quite awhile for the food to arrive, and a couple of stares was directed towards them
Sunny internally rolled his eyes when he saw about
'One, two, three, four...' a lot of plates given to Effie
Since it would have been strange for someone to have six shadows, he empowered the Memory, [Autumn Leaf] the Memory he used to make his hair white, leaving only Gloomy as his natural shadow
After awhile, Sunny's food arrived
It was a strange steak dish he lazily ate with a fork. When he was eating, he noticed Nephis looking at him strange, he pierced a piece of steak and lifted it to let Nephis eat it
Nephis eyes wide for a second before tucking her hair behind her ear to eat the steak on Sunny's fork
Then, he heard someone dropped their utensils, he turned to look at who it was and it was Cassie
All three of them stared wide-eyed at them, and even some the people eating also stared at them
Sunny blinked a couple of times before asking
"What?"
